Well, maybe this will now convince us to buy a veteran RT.

Seriously... why are we sitting on 25+ mil right now and not spending it? Its either to extend Waller (and possibly Perryman), to rollover the money to 2023 since our cap space next year is very limited or is it because we are waiting to sign players that will be cut / FA? Or is it because we literally dont have the actual money in the bank to do anything?

I think we got money in the bank....or at least Mark could probably get a nice little bank loan, now that we are selling out the gym that owns the highest ticket prices. This is probably NE's way of doing things. Sit on a nice chunk of cap space during camp. It's a good spot to be in, rolling it over would be nice given the dead money we won't be able to move around in Nassib and Littleton, combining for 15 million in dead money. Carr goes from 19 to 34, Davante 8 to 30, Renfrow 3 to 14, Kolten 6 to 17 and Crosby 6 to 20 million. That's a 73 million jump in 2023 just for 5 players. Given a 218 million 2023 cap, we are at 214 million in projected cap hits for 41 players. You can always kick things down the road, like Carr's 33 million base or Davante's 20 million dollar roster bonus.

Soder is still out there, among others. Must fix this area of the team.

Would it be not a bad thing to let Leatherwood
start at RT for the season as the experience
would only make him a better player for the
future….we really have not got much of a choice
    now that Parker gone….

But why risk the opportunity to go far this year with all of our skilled players being held back by our shitty O-line...
These windows of opportunity dont happen very often for teams. This is our time. You do what you need to NOW in order to win NOW, especially considering we have a full stock of draft picks next year to better this team

im thinking we extend perryman and waller leaving us with under 10 million to spend, right now behind the scenes the deals are almost done and they don't wanna make a signing til they're done

Over The Cap has the Raiders at $22,305,029. Second highest in the NFL behind the Browns.

For comparison, the Patriots have $6,442,167 of cap space and are ranked 29th amoung NFL teams.
