    We should be using the pass to set up the run, not the other way around. A halfway decent QB can get the ball out of his hands in a second or second and a half in a short passing attack, which is more like a running game. Once the defense gets gassed, start running the ball and throwing the ball deeper.

    That is quality coaching. Teams in the NFL cannot pass protect for four seconds or more like the good old days.

    shotgun it on every play and play a linebacker at rb to block or destroy a blitzer or line guy breaking thru

    Tom Brady was king at that, those long 80 yard drives. Once he'd get inside the 5, he'd spread them out, get under center and just sneak it in with little effort.
