Both these players drafted to high, the reason the Raiders can’t win, they strike out on first rounders.

Is actually good news. Means we have gotten better on D as 2 starters from last year are now backups... and means we have good depth, at least for those two positions.

Really bad news for Ferrell as he is as drafted
at number 4 spot….this guy was supposed to be
a pretty good starter at least from draft value…
It another story if he got a season ending injury
that he coming back from; but he did not

Yes bad news for Ferrell.. but this also may be a "motivation" technique from Gruden as well.. or may just be a situation where he has Ferrell as the "starter" in certain packages but in base package he isnt.. i really am not concerned about it aa long as the reason for it is that this Defense is better than last year.. either way Cle will still be an important rotational piece... but YES it stings that as a #4 overall draft pick, that the kid isnt the "3 down pivotal cog" of this defense. .

I'm not defending any players, but they are not even wearing pads yet. There's a long way to go before we see who starts in the first game.

The pick is looking worse and worse from year to year. There is literally no way to spin this.

    PPF regrade of Ferrell….

Ferrell was one of the biggest “surprise picks” of the 2019 NFL Draft, and he underwhelmed right out of the gate, as his 60.1 pass-rush grade as a rookie tied for 74th among 100 qualifying edge rushers.

However, Ferrell did have a few dominant outings as a pass-rusher this past season. Over the 274 pass-rush snaps he managed to play before suffering his season-ending injury in Week 14, Ferrell recorded a 70.0 pass-rush grade to go along with 30 total pressures. The only issue is that 21 of those pressures came in three games, and he recorded a pass-rush grade below 65.0 in all but three games. In other words, consistency was a problem for Ferrell in his sophomore campaign.

    REGRADE: BELOW AVERAGE

Ferrell isn't a bust but he was a massive reach. He will never live up to the 4th overall pick. I'm also wondering if we even offer him a 2nd contract
