Jacobs has had back-to-back 1,300-yard seasons, but he has also been injured. I'm glad we signed Drake. One, two punch. Insurance if Jacobs is injured.
Plus Gruden is already planning to use Drake as a receiver.

    Yup.
David Carr was talking about it last week.
A lot of the media is thinking of Drake as some expensive backup.
When in reality, he’s been lining up out wide as a WR a ton.

He may be the “joker” we wanted Bowden to be.

IMO I think alot of us thought JJ was gona be used more as a reciever...But prolly good he didn't as much cuz JJ would have alot more wear...I personally am looking forward to seeing the new run game with them 2..

    %100

Not a fan of the bell cow running back in today’s NFL anyway.
Get a legit 1-2 punch and keep these guys fresh as can be!

18 week long season, and if we are a playoff team, that’s a LONG time for 1 running back to carry the entire backfield

Like what we’ve heard with Madd Maxx.
We now have depth on the DL.
    Less is more with him.
Cut down on those snaps! Keep him healthy and fresh to pin those ears back at the end of games.
Out there playing and grinding at %50 just wasn’t working.

Gruden isn't happy with jacobs dancing behind the line of scrimmage in short yardage. Drake will be the short yardage guy if Jacobs doesn't improve

seems to me jacobs has hit his limits and that's why drake was brought in to fill in jacobs inability to grow further, on top of that he is in jacobs is injury prone especially at the eoy when the raiders need him to get us over the hump and into the playoffs, I personally thank drake is a more explosive player then jacobs drake has long speed and is more twitchey in open space on top of that he is a natural receiver vs jacobs who does not have long speed and is not a natural receiver

ps this will be a 60/40 split with drake getting most of the receiving work it'll be 1a and 1b situation

It's hard to argue that the Raiders aren't a better team with Drake.

Gotta remember we have a new center on the
team who look like he only 6 foot tall and 245lbs
compared to a picture with him standing next to Kolton
and Richie…. Maybe Kolton and Richie were
standing on a bench when the photo was taken…

James is 2 inches taller compared to Hudson. If height matters, the Raiders gained there as well.
