    1980's era trade

I have vague memories of a trade the Raiders made with the Packers in the 1980's but can't remember the player involved.

From what I remember, there was a very disgruntled player on the roster (wide receiver?) who desperately wanted out. So the Raiders accommodated him by sending him to the Packers, then one of the worst teams in the league.

    Anyone else remember this?

    I don't...so I checked our 80's trades list:

The only trade between the Raiders and Packers in the 80's, was James Lofton coming to the Raiders.

Memories fail as we get older but making things up is brilliant. My grandmother had an imaginary boyfriend who was a cab driver in SF and she bought a wedding dress and bought a plane ticket from Oregon to the bay area to go marry him. We got a call and found her at the airport. She had an electric green afro wig on.

Are you not thinking of San Diego sending John Jefferson WR to Green Bay? I remember being glad that SD lost the talented Jefferson, but in the end Wes Chandler, who they got in return, ended up being more productive. Goddam Air Coryell!

JJ crazy athleticism. Agreed, excited when they shipped him out....but Chandler was more consistent. After the trade....never really heard from JJ again.
