More info.....

The Raiders: Teyo Johnson is rated ****ty and the 3rd TE - I remedied that. Nothing I wouldn't expect though.... Barton and Harris are rated pretty well, both in the mid-high 80's....Fargas is only a 68, but damn, he's fast as **** out of a gooses ass. Makes me think I might trade Garner, I already tested it and I can get the Texans 1st and 3rd round picks straight up for him....I thought it was weird that Shabazz and Fargas had a picture and everything while Asomugha and Brayton didn't even have the right numbers or pictures, then I thought about it. Those who had signed by the game was done, got pictures, etc. and those who were yet unsigned didn't.....Jerry Porter is incredible and after the first preseason he went up another 5 points overall for me; he's now my #1 WR and I haven't played a regular season game...

The Game: You know how they say if it's in the game it's in the game? Well, they're almost there I'll tell ya that....Like Ace said, the owner system is complex, but very, very cool.....The animations are friggin' awesome, players uniforms get dirty and the actual movements and intricacies of the player models are the best yet in a sports game....The 'on the fly' options are making my mouth water. Picked a sweep left and the defense shifts over? No problem just switch the play at the line of scrimage to a sweep left, or put the weak side WR/TE in motion for an extra blocker, or call an audible - all with the touch of one button. You've been rushed outside the pocket to the left, just press that little right analog to the left and your reciever will break off his route to help ya out....Not only is there the no huddle but a second option of hurry-up can be called after selecting no huddle, the QB runs up to the line waving his arms and getting everyone to 'hurry up'.....

Rookies are always low-rated, my guess is because they can really blow up quickly. Like Buchanon last year was like a 71 and Harris a 70, but you played a year or two (including preseason) and they were both up around 80. My guess is Teyo will be the same way.

Irony moment: Playing last night, I gave the ball to Fargas in the red zone, and he coughed up the ball into the end zone just like in the preseason game. I hope it's not an omen.

[b]Well, I picked up a copy of Madden 2004 for XBox and 'acquired' a copy for PC. I have to say this game is tremendous.

I only hope we see some of this in the real game tonight

We know Madden Football will have reached it's pinnacle of virtual gaming when You are able to take Dwayne Carswell out for a night on the town in the off-season and smack your bitch up.

You can be Michael Pittman and run over your wife.

You can be David Boston and search local Gym's for Cleaner steroids.

You can be Jeff Garcia and **** guys in the ass!

Ah, yes the virtual gaming capacity is limitless!

Have you guys used vick in this game, he is nuts! Imagine the fastest running back in the game with the ball and defenders dropping back into coverage. Only problem is his fumbulitus but thats what the sidelines are for. My first series with him I got down to 3rd and ten, then took off on a bootleg run and took it all the way to the house, 80 yards zipping threw the slow-motion defense.

you know what else is good. when you're on defense you actually can get a pass rush. in 2003, I created a defensive playbook and I put in my "Jailbreak blitz package" that had everybody blitzing except for the FS and the opposite field CB (usually RCB) they would just play zone and I would hope the computer didn't throw underneath curls or quick slants.....but still it didn't create much of a pass rush...but consistantly 2003 the comp would always harrass my QB....so that's why I love madden 2004, because it seems that the comp and player can be on an even playing field

Same in NFL2k3 you couldn't get a pass rush if your life depended on it (God I hate that ****ing game never again will I go against Madden). That is what I miss about the old school madden games you could always get a good pass rush.

Well you guys have sold me I'm going to try and get my copy today so I can play it all weekend long.
