XBOX Live, and PS2 Headset Help

Ok, i've tried both xbox and ps2 forums and neither side attempted to help me, I figured i'll try asking you guys.
I have fixed wireless internet its the only broadband I can get where im located, its basically a 45 foot tower with a small satellite dish on top that recieves frequency from the ISP (which is 6 miles away from here), our computers are hooked up through a 5-port auto sensing switch and thats how we get our internet, now since we've had it installed my XBOX live will not connected I get a DNS error.

As for the PS2, ever since we got it installed it took me awhile to get in online, but once I did the only problem is the PS2 headset works, I know the headset is not broken because I tried it on the computer, if anyone knows a site that can help me out or knows how to fix this problem it would be much appreciated.

OK what games are you trying to use your headset? I know this for a fact on some games youll need to open ANOTHER port for the headset itself.

Do you have a sony headseat? I had a problem like that on another brand headset with socom. I had to open up ports, but i got tired of it and bought a sony headset and it worked just fine without opening a port.
