I bought my xbox in oct 2006. I just got the red ring of dead last week while playing saints row 2.

thankfully for me, my roommate has an xbox that just got back from repair and he is hooked on world of warcrap. I am using his since he hasnt turned it back on since he got it back.

It always seems to happen right after you buy a new game. It happened to me last October as soon as I put a new game in the console. At least Microsoft was fast with a replacement, but it still pisses you off.

How is Saints Row 2? I was going to get that, but decided to hold off and get Fable 2 instead. If nothing else catches my interest between now and when I beat it, SR2 is my next game.
