Typical Euro championship...the entertaining sides begin to fall to the tactical ones.
Portugal fell to the Germans (granted the Germans were good) and now Croatia fall to the Turks.
Wouldn't be surprised to see the Dutch struggle with the Russians and I'll guarantee the Spanish will do their usual and 'blow it' against the Italians.
Is Euro2008 being shown live in US?

I am sticking to what I first said about Germany winning it all even though it wont surprise me to see yet another upset. Russia pressured the netherlands from the start and was too much for their back line. Nistlerooy had an easy goal pass him by as well.

What a terrific tournament!

Turkey's performance the last 3 matches has been unreal!

Three of the 4 group winners are out! Is Spain next?

I hope so. I am rooting for the Italians.

Spain, like Portugal has had a great history of collapses as someone has already said.

Was there a more surprizing finish than the Russians and the Dutch?

The Netherlands breezed through their group winning all 3 games and outscoring their opponents 9-1. And, they did this by defeating both World Cup finalist, France and Italy.

Didn't matter though. When all was said and done, they will be going home.

One more game and then the semi finals which should be great games.

I too think a Germany Italy final is in the works.

Then again, who is going to count out those pesky Turks and Russians!

We'll see.

I would like to see Spain go through as they have been 'the great under-achievers' for many years but I think Italy will stifle them and win 1-0 as they always do in the big games that they need to win.
Turkey are in semi-final despite the fact they have only been in the lead for only 7 mins throughout tournament so far...unreal!!

I just got back from a week in Moab - looks like I missed some good games. I was surprised to see Italy move on after their first two games. How big was that save by Buffon now?

Holland - talk about premature ej....Damn they looked unbeatable. Dissapointing to say the least.
