I was told that there was a verse with "Deustchland uber alles" might have been the second one, but it was not sang much anymore due to the national socialist basically ruining that part.

Spain was spankin' the Russians 4-1 when I left home after lunch. Hat trick by Villa
This group appears to be very weak. England could not get past Russia or Croatia and then both those teams gave weak performances. Not a good sign for England fans.

The germans should take this tourney, but trailing 1-0 to Croatia at half shows they can be had. Portugal is the most entertaining to watch and Spain has holes all over its defense and any of the top 4 teams should take advantage of their weak defense.

Germany falls! Next to the Italians loss this is pretty big. Germany looked flat the whole game, chasing the ball and the play. The red card at the end did not help.
That second goal by the croats (is that a word?) was pretty fluky…off the defender, the post and then drops at the feet of Olic.

Huge upset for Germany. Portugal looks tough so far in an easy group and Spain looks strong. All up in the air now.

If Portugal wins out and Germany finishes 2nd it would set up a nice quarterfinals match between the 2.

Turkey 3 - 2 Czech Republic, what a game the last 10 minutes where Crazy; 2 goals a red card and a player who wasn't even playing got a yellow card, haha madness.
