No...posting the link is okay. I just removed the IMG tags on your url...that's all. Hotlinking refers to posting a visable image HERE, but the actual image is being linked directly from another website or server. Just posting a link means that if someone clicks on the image, this webpage then redirects the individual to the SOURCE webpage. If the link points to an image and if I put the IMG tags around the url, what happens is the image will be in full display here, but the website that is shouldering the burden of bandwidth usage is the originating website. And since bandwidth costs money, site owners frown upon this.

Example:


Photobucket is shouldering the bandwidth for as long as this image is displayed to ANYONE and that could mean it's displayed up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

But if I do this:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...erDee/test.jpg
Then they are only on the hook for bandwidth usage if someone goes to their website via a redirect to see the image on THEIR website.

OK... thanks for pointing that out... I was somewhat leary, when I posted it, but I thought that since I added the raiders.com under the "hotlink pic", it was ok, but now I understand much more clearer...
