if u want an awesome fullback get a good TE, for example, Tony Gonzalez is a 99 Fullback, Antonio Gates (with the online update) is a 98 FB, they block well and you have another threat to throw to then.

I usually draft a good TE and move him to FB, It works all the time and I never go wrong with this method.

Im not sure if anyone still plays madden 05 or not, but im just wondering if some of you do, whats your record? And, what season are you in? Im in my 2nd season, and i just played my first regular season game @kansas city. The final score was 48-42....really good game. Im now playin philly, in oakland, and im leading them 6-0.

On my personal Madden franchise I am now on the 11th season. I went 4-12 with the original 04 Raiders. I traded people for the players we got i.e. Moss and Jordan. Then I started the season and went 4-12. then I drafted Marcus Vick and won 10 superbowls in a row going undefeated every year. I made Vick a pocket passer with occasional running. Moss and Porter was winning the best WR thing left and right. And guess who my headcoach is now? Rich Gannon

Now online, I havent played in awhile because I got pissed on cry babies. But here is my record for XBOX XBOX RECORD ONLINE that is without quit! the disconnection is from a sucker that cheated.

I Finished A 30 Year Franchise Recently. Seems Like It Took 30 Years Too!!

When I First Started Last Year Sometime In September, As You Know, Gannon Isn't Rated That Bad On The Game So I Traded Him & Napoleon Harris For A First Round Draft Pick To The Cardinals And They Bit On It. I Kept Collins And Just Worked With Him In The Mini Camp Before I Started And Pulled His Numbers Up Considerably. At The End Of That Same Season, I Traded Collins At The Draft Board For Another First Round Pick. I Traded People Like Barrett Robbins, Wheatley, Collins, Phillip Buchannan Etc For Extra Draft Picks. It Really Paid Off Because After My First Season, I Had Like 4 First Round Picks!
That Thing The Guy Mentioned About Having A Te At Fb Worked For Me Too In Some Of My Seasons.
After My 30th Season, My Teams Overall Rating Ended Up Being 90. 90 Offense, 89 Defense 90 Special Teams.

Anybody ever wounder why they let you create a player thats 18 years old but a 18 year old guy can't enter the draft in real life?

Another good trick to use is drafting OLB's. You can get an OLB in the 3rd round that rated like 75. Immediately change his position to DE and he will jump AT LEAST 10 points. So now you have a rookie DE rated 85 or higher. You can do the same thing with free agents. Get an OLB rated mid 80's and when you move him to DE, he will be mid 90's.

My only gripe about the draft is speed and strength. When you draft a WR who runs a 4.37, or some other ridiculous 40 time, his speed won't match up when you can finally see his attributes. He'll be like a 91 on speed. And other receivers who run 4.5's will be rated higher in speed. Same thing goes for strength. A DT who does 32 reps will have a lower strength than some guys who only do 24 reps. It doesn't make any sense.

But my favorite thing to do is draft. I trade away everyone over 32 years of age. I usually end up with 2-3 first round picks, and 2 2nd round picks. I always sign my players until they will reach 33 years old. Then when they hit 32 years old, I trade them for a pick. This way, I always have youth and experience on my roster. And every year, the draft is a ton of fun.
