On Defense I mainly mess around with a lot of plays I have one thats my soul D play, But i cant tell that one

I usually do something like a Quater or dime and make the DBs do diffrent things like blitz, double or diffrent zones by just clicking on them and changing things up, I just find the players weakness then change things around sorry I dont really know any specific plays I guees you can say I make my own up

Yea, a lot of guys have a lot of variations of one specific play. I just can't find that good base defense to run. I gotta try doubling spec WR's when I get my 360 back. That would change things a lot if I can just slow some people down a little.

how do i stop those cheap wr screens behind the line of scrimmage... you know the one that freezes your players.

i just recently switched from ps2 to xbox 360. Still tryin to get used to the controls. I havent won a game online yet

some dude used a green and red team with small players but they were all rated 99 and doin onside kicks all the time. Fn punks out there!! Im sure our Raiders will be rated much higher in 09 than in the 60's as they currently are.

in 09 they will be 71 overall, but the overall doesnt really mean anything

fake as hell lol. what are we? 68 in 08? Like the average overall of all our starters is 68?

Maybe my high school team!
Offline, all you have to do is make a transaction(trade/sign/release a player) and the true overall will show(not online though obviously) Or does that only work for old gen?

I forget, haven't played in a while now. I know it worked for ps2.

The double pass is hard to stop if you dont know what your doing, and even if you do it can still be hard to stop. if you know the double pass is coming theres a couple of ways I use to stop it, one way is to double the WR that catches the ball behind scrimmage then when he catches it grap one of the players that is doubling him and tackle the WR before he gets anything, but what I do most of the time takes practice I line up with the TE (usual with a DB or LB) then when the play starts the TE peels off to block for the WR so I follow him to the WR and stay in front of the WR than as the QB throws it I press triangle and usual get an INT, both are hard to do but usual if you stop the play once or twice the player using it will stop using that play, hopefully

Just won my 3rd game online! LOL couldve been alot more if it wasnt for poor sport quitters. All the teams I have beaten have been ranked over 90. So now I am seeing it is very possible to use the "lowly" Raiders and still win. I base my strategy on defense. Calling the right plays, our secondary is pretty tight. I had 6 picks in one game! So, Madden God, How can I improve the Raider offense?? Alot of dropped passes, JR seems a bit off on passes frequently also.

I personally prefer to not use the qb vision cone. The velocity on Russell's passes is exactly what I love. I bullet most of my passes and because they get there so quick I can user them before the defender can click on to make a play. The only thing I struggle against is press coverage. Use your rb on an out or in the flat and it can be a great safety valve and dangerou weapon. Most RB's can burn any LBers matched up on them.

A couple routes that are easy to throw and catch:
In: hot route an outside WR on an in and after he cuts, bullet the pass and throw it high. Kills man coverage.

C-route: When the WR cuts inside, up, and then towards the corner - toward the end of the route bullet the pass straight, take control of the wr and hold y or triangle while moving down and toward the outside. I do the same for out routes usually with a slot WR.

For a fly route, wait until the WR gets downfield a bit, bullet the pass straight and take control of the WR and make a 90 degree cut while holding catch. I can do it against champ bailey or anyone, even when the corner has safety help like 2 man under.

And like I said make them respect the flat as well and then et single overage down the field and take your shots.

Just practice throwing different routes. When catching, you just have to be in the right position. Offense is easy so if you got your defense down I'm sure you'll develop into a beastly madden player.
