Question for all the next gen madden players

Do the new ratings have a bigger impact on gameplay, oppose to the ps2,xbox versions?

For example, on PS2 high agility, speed, and acceleration rating would mean that that the linemen was good in space, and explosive in getting upfield in the run game.
However in Next Gen they have a Run block footwork rating, pass pro footwork rating, what for?
Somebody distinguish it for me
