PS3 vs. Xbox360

Somebody asked which system he should get...I didnt want to read EVERY single answer, so plain and simple, what system would you rather have?

I know there are benefits to both, but when push comes to shove, which one are you putting your money into?

It usually comes down to personal preference, I like the 360.
WHY?

Great controller
Great online service
Great gaming lineup
Thats the top 3 reason to get a console in the first place.

But if your dying to play MGS4 or Grand Turismo and you can't wait to start watching Blu-Ray movies
Maybe the PS3 would be better for you.

You should consider the exclusive games each platform has, if your a more casual player
that just wants to play Madden and GTA, the big multi platform games are about the same on each
though XBOX live is more feature rich that the PSN as for as online play.

i already have enough money invested in both so i have never really understood why there can be only one except fanboys i have a friend who loves anything nintendo puts out they could come out with a piece of poop and put the nintendo name on it and it will be the next best thing.. i am a gamer and will always be a gamer..

i too am a gamer...i pick the BETTER SYSTEM, whatever it may be.

Hey i had a Gamecube, i thought it was better than XBOX and IMO it was.

But when the 360 came out, i was like...wow...lol..

I owned both and had to sell them unfortunately. It was definitely harder to put my 360 up on eBay

Great point. Personally I think 360 and PS3 are both good systems. I wish I could afford both. I bought a PS3 because of the controller, wi-fi, and blu-ray. I think it was actually a little more cost effective in the long run for all the things I wanted. I'm a nerd for all the gadgets and possibilities of the PS3. If you just enjoy games why not buy a 360. XBox Live is phenominal. I own a PS2 and an XBox. And a PS1 and an NG4, and a Super Nintendo and Genesis. I think system wars are great for gamers.

Of course I don't have the same love for the Wii. I think Nintendo knew it couldn't financially compete with Sony or Microsoft so they built this gimick machine. From a business standpoint it was brilliant, but from a gamer standpoint it is weak. Now the Wii is flooded with horrible games because game developers can just throw together a game and people who don't know will waste their money on it.

i agree the wii is a gimick the only good games on it are made by nintendo

Went back to 360 this weekend. Tough Choice, but love Live, and the Multiplayer format much more. Not a big fan of Blu Ray yet, hell I don't even like that many new movies. Think I will stick with my DVD,'s and upconvert for now.

PS3 guy, myself. Don't really get into all the fanboy back and forth.
Love the controller set-up on PS3. Blu-Ray player makes it that much more attractive.

Knee deep in Condemned 2 right now...Freaky game.

I concur. The xbox controller is a clonky ridiculous thing.

I also prefer the PS3 controller. Gotta get my hands on the new Dualshock 3. At least the XBox controller has gotten better since that first huge six dollar burger sized thing they originally came out with. It's gonna be a good year for the PS3, MGS4, Resistance 2, Haze, Killzone 2, I'm digging the lineup.

I got a Xbox 360 but im been thinking about getting a Ps3 because of the blue ray.why not get a blue way player that i can also play a game on every now and then.
