Should I go with the PS3 or an XBox 360 to play Madden '09?
I would have posted this in the vid games forum but it seems that forum's kaput. I'm leaning towards the PS3 w/ the build in Blu Ray & supposedly the PS3 is going to be the flagship platform for developing Madden '09. EA took a lot of heat in that gamers said the PS3 version was choppy. Hopefully, they'll be able to make the new PS3 version 60 frames per second like the Xbox vs. the 30 fps found in '08.

Opinions? Anyone have experience playing the PS3 Madden vs. the 360? Did it feel any choppier then playing on the Xbox? Reason I'm asking now is that I"m putting together my HD entertainment center. Finally making the jump.

BTW, Madden should be fun again to play as the Raiders this year. Wonder if I could design some plays where I line up Jamarcus out wide against a DB & have him lead block for Dmac! That's a major size mismatch in the run game :P

Both systems are great - it's really a matter of preference. You'll find the people that are adament about PS3 is more because they hate microsoft - not necessarily because it's an inferior product.

Well, PS3 has had madden at 30 FPS, where as the 360 has had it at 60 FPS the last two years running.


Online on the 360 is far superior.

I've had my 360 for 3 years and had only one problem.

my friends xbox360 had problems, would say can't read disc occasionally, then started happening more often and finally the light in the front that is normally green when you turn it on went red and the machine was unusable. He sent it back and they sent him a new one, it worked great for a while and now he's having the same disc read problems, and also had a problem with the disc loader jamming, even though it worked after we messed with it a little. It still works but sometimes gets disc read errors. I've heard of other people having the same problems also, just something to think about. I haven't looked into problems with the ps3 and have only played one about 5 times but when both machines are working right i like playing the xbox360 better.

I have both the ps3 and 360...i play my 360 a hell of alot more, simply because i like the system alot better...i like the graphics better, easy to use xbox dashboard, and i like the controller better...but yea, thats just my 2 cents !

If your goal is to add a video game and a blu-ray player in one, then PS3 is the way to go.

IF you are interested in online gaming then it is not even close. Nothing compares to XBOX Live.
