The Hof Brau House is in Newport, right across the river. My dad lives there and says it is one of his favorite spots. His only other suggestions were blues bars (he's a sax player); if anyone wants a couple of suggestions, just let me know.

More info on hof brau courtesy of my dad: It's just caddy-corner from the Newport on the Levee shopping area on the riverfront in Newport. Lot's of big mugs of pretty good beer and German food (if you get the strudel, it's made by my friend down the block from the house). Also big pretzels. Food's not all that expensive. Has a big, outdoor beer garden which may or may not be open depending on the weather but has a big inside hall (very loud), too. Could be some Oompah (not to be confused with Oprah) music playing. If you were to follow the brown highway (71/75) signs to the Newport Aquarium you'll go right to it. Slightly convoluted by fairly well marked along the way. From Paul Brown Stadium (PBS - not to be confused with PBS) you just go east a bit to the Taylor-Southgate bridge (u.s.27, I think) which takes you right to it also. Parking will probably be a bear but they have a large lot under the Levee and also a lot of surface lots in the area. 3-5 dollars probably.

I am in Kingsport, dont know if ya know where that is or not but its about hour and a half away. I come to Knoxville all the time to watch my VOLS play. The only thing i like as much as raider football is UT football. Matter of fact my cousin actually went to UT for 2 years and I was always up there partying. Me and my girl are going to meet some of the other fans at the hilton tonight to try and get autographs, if ya want maybe we can get together and party alittle bit this weekend
