Im comin to Cali...Help Me Plan!!

OK, so me and three friends are coming to the west coast for the Nov 12th game against the Broncos. None of us have been to Cali before so we need some advice on places to check out, where to stay etc.

We are going to stay in San Franscisco, what are some places you reccommend? I was looking up place and came across the Cathedral Hill Hotel and the Maxwell Hotel. But I'd like to hear you guys opinions.
We need good places to go at night, not techno clubs or anything like that, just cool bars that are pretty active for people our age (24)

Also any advice you have would be appreciated. Basically we are just 4 Jersey guys comin out to see the raiders game and looking for fun stuff to do fri-tues.

Thanks

You must absolutely check out Ricky's in San Leandro. Its the HQ for the Raider Nation.

If you stay at a hotel do the Hilton at the Oakland Airport. The Raiders stay there the day before the game. I got to ride in the elevator with Tom Flores, saw Rob Ryan walk thru the lobby. Like RaiderSithLord said you have to do Rickys the night before the game and of course the Raider Image is right down the road from the Hotel from which you can see the stadium.

First, where are you coming from in Jersey? Our foursome are doing the same for that game coming from the Newark area. We booked the Oakland Hilton, that sounds like party central from what these dudes say anyway. Its our first trip to H.O.T. too, after years of traveling to other cities for the weekends. We do one trip a year with a Raider Golf outing on Saturdays of that weekend. We don't have too many plans, just hang with as many Raider fans as possible and drink our balls off. If you didn't get tickets yet, we got ours on stub hub.

SF is going to be much higher priced than Oakland. If you are set on staying in SF I would suggest the Fishermans Wharf area. There is stuff to do there and there are some decent places to listen to music. Food is expensive. If your renting a car then there are some other options and places to visit.

The Harbor area, including the aquarium

China town

Wine country

Alcatraz

There is a lot to do, but those are a few of the higher rated areas
