Flight and bart info

So, in looking at flight info for the tailgate, i have found the following out:

It is cheaper for me to fly into San Fran than to go to Oakland.

With that, it looks like there is a Bart train from SF International to near the Hilton.

My question is: How hard will it be to pull this off, as far as getting around.

For those who live out there, is this my best move?

Other suggestions?

Attyla: I've always preferred Oakland Int'l over SFO, but didn't know SFO was cheaper!

BART is a cakewalk, provided the ticket dispensing machine will accept your dollars! Be sure to have "fresh-ish", uncrumpled bills to use! Before I moved from Alameda, I'd often parked at the BART near Lake Merritt so my car wouldn't be in the Coliseum area. I would (of course) be in full Raider regalia, and one time another BART rider said, "I didn't know the rookies took public transportation..." DOH! He finally got it! There's plenty of signage regarding which stop to get off at. It's kinda (!) crowded to get to the stairs for the walkway, but just grab your girl's hand and thrust forth!

Hope this helps... enjoy the game, brah! I'm tryin' to make it myself!

The Bart ride from SF to the Oakland Hilton takes about 40 minutes, you'll have to change trains also. If the price difference is a few dollars between flying to oak and SF, I'd fly into Oakland.

Flying into SF is a pain in the ass. If it is not too much more expensive I would fly to Oakland. Great little airport. The Bart does go direct from SFO to Collisiem Bart but you have to take the Dublin/Pleasanton train only at a cost of $5.80 a person.

OK, Im still juiced that this is all done.

So, I fly in Thursday Sept 28th. Gonna got the Hotel and store the luggage, then head out to Fishman's Wharf. Food and fun

Other than that, totally open. Alcatraz, how long is a tour? Chinatown worth a look? The aquarium (wife loves the aquariums) pretty decent?

Other opportunities?

Like I said, Im kinda geekin over getting the trip taken care of, so Im gonna look for ideas.

When is everyone else coming in, and if your coming in early, Im up for what ever.

Chi

Me and the Missus and a couple friends will be doing something Saturday morning....probably going into SF for some kind of harmless michief before the party at Ricky's.

Assume right now that you are invited to come along. China Town, or Fishmans Wharf or some such thing

Thanks for the invitation. Both Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf are pretty cool.
