    Hotel for Raiders game

Coming to Oakland for first Raiders home game, been told to stay in SF as more to see do etc.... well we're arriving Saturday, plans are to head to Rickys Sports Bar that night, Raiders game Sunday, so won't be in SF very much at all so rather stay in Oakland, plus we have 2 nights planned for staying in SF the mon/tue for sights etc anyways.

Debating on stay Downtown Oakland or near the Stadium? Like I said will be arriving probably late afternoon Saturday and downtown is pretty far from Rickys, if I stay closer to stadium be easier to get there, which hotel is decent near stadium? Was thinking of the Hilton. (FYI we already have Clarion Downtown booked, but reading latest reviews and stuff thinking of changing it to somewhere else, yes downtown nicer and more to see people tell me (restaurants, bars etc) but doesn't matter as we already have plans for the night before). Should I cancel and book near/closer to stadium? Is that where majority of out fans stay or do they stay downtown?

Hilton or Holiday Inn on Hegenberger. Team stays at the Hilton. Both have a restaurant and bar Holiday Inn is about 1 block from the Hilton both have a shuttle I still I believe. You could also do the Hilton Garden Inn in San Leandro on Lewelling (The some times have rates for Ricky's customers. They also have at rate for a Bomb Breakfast Buffet). They will shuttle you back and forth to Rickys until 11:30 or 12am. They will also take you to the stadium on game day if not they will take you to the Bart. It is in a safer area of town. Call them. I live locally and when we do partys at Ricky's I stay there myself good people nice clean hotel.

Thanks for all your help Raider Ran

Leaning towards that Garden Inn you mentioned.... but if I were to choose one near the stadium, what would be best of these 2
at the prices per night ....
Hilton Oakland Airport ($109) or BEST WESTERN PLUS Airport Inn & Suites ($80)

Hilton is were the team is. Just far from Ricky's it is about a $15 cab ride. There is not much to do around there except the hotel bar. Not really safe to walk around that area at night either.

1st home game is a Monday night game..Stay at anyone of the Edes Ave hotels, LaQuinta,Days Inn Fairfield, there will be plenty of Raider fans to party with. You could also stay at the Hilton and stay at the bar there instead of going to Ricky's, which is so overrated and expensive. not to mention if you can get in, Rickys had a capicity limit. so get there early and don't forget to bring you wallet..

And this but if he has never been to Ricky's it is a place you want to see especially on a Sat night before a home game packed with Raider fans. I know they are expensive and I don't go there much unless I have out of town friends or to my Booster Club Meeting which is held there. The Hilton Bar is expensive too a bit better drinks though.

I'm also coming down from Toronto for my first game IN Oakland and I have to say this thread has been very helpful, so thanks to all that have contributed. My dad and I are coming down on the Saturday night (we'll be there for the Monday nighter against the Chargers) and plan on staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. Question: is it a safe walk to Ricky's from there?

Hilton Garden Inn has a shuttle that will take you there. It is pretty safe in that area but I would utilize the shuttle. They will also pick you up from Ricky's before 11:30pm. Ask at the desk for times etc...
