Info needed for Raiders @ DEN

If I stay at the red lion, is that close to all the nightlife in lodo? I want to be able to go bar hopping or go to a club to party.

Im only staying Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I dont plan on renting a car b/c I want to stay in the city and bar hop.

You would have to cab it over to Lodo from the Red Lion. Not very far, but it is not walking distance. You have to cross the interstate.

I think technically you can walk under the interstate by the light rail station (or walk to the light rail and take it one stop to Pepsi Center or something like that, right?). But that's terribly inconvenient.

That's why I was suggesting one of the downtown hotels. It's easy enough to get back/forth to the game from LODO. And you can follow the massive crowd heading back down town after the game. Or grab one of the shuttle buses from Old Chicago's or whatever (many of the bars have a bus to get you to/from the game in exchange for the opportunity to get your business before and after).

Then you're free to walk the city and participate in our finer drinking establishments.

But thanks for all the advice. I really appreciate it.

Sounds like getting a hotel in lodo is more convienient. I dont mind walking or catching a shuttle bus to the game. But Id rather be able to get drunk at the bar and then walk back to the hotel.

I live here and still will get a hotel downtown from time to time. It's a nice city to walk. Just don't be concerned when, at certain intersections, you see people walking diagonally. This was the first place I saw diagonal cross walks, although they're not unique to Denver.

You can get a shuttle to the Red Lion (about $20) and then the Red lion shuttle will take you anywhere in Denver. The airport is about a 20 minute drive and I am almost sure they will not do pickups or drop off at the airport.

Steve (Raiderdude69) and a bunch of his buddies had the red Lion shuttle them over to a Rockies game and I think they even picked them up.

The Red Lion is just on the other side of I-25 from LODO, Elith gardens, and the Denver Aquarium.

Heads up - this is the weekend before Thanksgiving. Flights are going to be top dollar - if you are serious, book now.

I have a couple rooms booked at the Red Lion – on Bryant. Not the Red Lion on Quebec.
If you want to stay closer to the haps in Downtown – Crowne Plaza on GlenArm is right next to the 16th street mall.
