2008 RF.net Get Together Game Question - Oakland Raiders Forum | Message Board

So, is the Monday nighter against Denver going to be the official RF.net game this year, or will it be the first home game on the weekend? I'm working real hard on getting out there this year and wanted to know when the folks here would be getting together.

Not sure, don't think it will be the first game due to new tailgate hosts. May be looking at Oct 28 against the Chargers.

Has a new host been announced? i figured that the chargers game would be one of the top choices... if thats the case, I will see eveyone at NO.. you should go to New orleans Jay.. thats going to be off the hook, and even closer for ya

I will prolly shoot for the Patiots game for my Oakland trip... unless the Jets or panthers become the tailgate game.

I clearly have no input as to which date is chosen as I have yet to attend one, and most likely won't be there for this years version either.

All that being said, I would SUGGEST that either September 28th vs. Chargers or November 2nd vs Atlanta would be the best options in the schedule.

Here's why:

1. Week one is a Monday night game - not good for those traveling from out of town.
2. I have seen that many people from this site intend to go down to New Orleans for the "Official" Road Game. I would think that it would not be a good idea to have the Official Road Game and the Official Home Game on back to back weekends, thus eliminating the Jets game (although I will be there for the Jets game).
3. The Chargers game would be good as there is a bye the week after, providing plenty of time to recover for New Orleans.

There's my $0.02.

I think that Staff will coordinate this years tailgate with volunteer help from the members. It is still under discussion.

Well I just ordered my tickets for the Charger game!! I hope that we can make this one the official tailgate!!

Someone please let me and Raider_wifee know what we can do to help. She lives out there and I will be there for about a week, so let's make it happen!!
