Is it a given that the Home Opener will be the TG game?

Just announced that we will host the Donks on Monday night for the home opener. Couldn't ask for a better TG game. Reminds me of the TG a few years ago against the Queefs. What does everyone say?

Not good for the out of towners. They would have to take 2 days off & the Hilton is $199.00 for the Monday ( I just checked).

I would Not be able to make it if that was the case.

My sentiments exactly.. would LOVE to make that game, no doubt, but no way could I do it logistically.. And I think the majority of out of towners would be in the same boat..

I'm sure Spider and/or BK will make the ultimate determination after the rest of the schedule comes out this week, but I'm not thinking this game will fly....

Raiders would be home again on Sept 28th, so I would think that game, whoever it's gonna be, would the front runner at this point IMO..

Bad for me too although I will still be at the game. I say we shoot for game 2. IMO. We have the annual tailgate so our members can show up and this would require our out of town people to take 2 days off work.

Well, I will do whatever it takes to get there. Dont really care when it is. I remember the last one we did in primetime was awesome, but it does foul up travel plans. Im in for whenever.

I'm also a season ticket holder, and will be at the opener regardless, but I would rather the Annual Tailgate be a Sunday afternoon (1 pm PST) game, so our out-of-town brothers and sisters can enjoy the tailgate and game. I would go for the next home game we have in September, which I believe will be week 4, as the A's are home the next 2 weeks after our opener.

no $hit. I just booked a room for Sunday and Monday, I choose the prepay method - still about $360.

Oakland Hilton probably gets the schedule before the public, so they can make a couple billion dollars off us poor Raiders fans.

It just occurred to me, that’s Labor Day weekend…isn’t it? That would help explain the high rates at the Hilton. 3 day weekend

Nope John, Labor Day is Sept 1st this year... That would have actually been better for us out of towners if it was the 8th though, one less vacation day to use... Oh well, like I said, I'm sure Bob and Spider will get it all straightened out soon enough..

I just checked and the Days inn has rooms for $80.00 a night, I'll probably stay there.

^^ I feel ya Jimi. I'd LUV to make this game. I have yet to see a donks game live in Oakland. Seen the other division rivals 2x each and this is the rival I dislike the most.

(BTW...a Monday night game aint the same anymore...if it was Sunday night, that'd be awesome. Nationally televised..you know that'd be a great game. It always is between them.)
