Hi, I'm new here. I will be attending my first Raiders game in the fall. Can anyone sit in the Black Hole or are those reserved ahead of time?

I'd suggest that you should try to buy tickets in the black hole asap when individual tickets go on sale. If you plan to stay around Oakland for a while you might think about staying in San Francisco. You can get to the Coliseum from SF on the BART, catching the Dublin Pleasanton train. From Powell St station to the Coliseum return trip is around $5.70. Thgere is also a fair bit to do in SF, like Fisherman's Wharf, the cable cars, Powell St, Golden Gate Bridge etc.

I stayed in San Francisco for 5 days before going to the Coliseum to see the Raiders against the Chargers on the 30th of December last year. It was a great time.

You should also try to go to a tailgate if possible, because that was the highlight of my entire trip to the USA, which included going to a Lakers game (centre court floor row 3) and a Ducks hockey game.

Another alternative is to pay a little over for tickets. I managed to get 3 tickets in section 116, row 6, but I paid around $200 a ticket. However, I got to get photos with Violator, Spike, Howie and Senor (although the Senor photo I haven't seen developed yet because I'm waiting for Candy to send it to me). I bought my tickets through www.ticketnetonline.com, a ticketing website which sells tickets through different vendors. You might be able to get tickets in the Black Hole this way.

You can also get photos with some of the die hard fans in the parking lot, which was a lot of fun.

Going to a Raiders game has been one of the best things ever to happen in my life. Being treated like long lost family by Spider and his lovely wife Arlo at their tailgate was unforgettable. I can't wait to go back in 2009, once I graduate high school.

Tickets are not hard to get unfortunately.... and stayin in Frisco is a neat place to be. but right there in Oakland near the stadium in very easy to do ....if you want tickets hit em up early and often and you will have NO problem trust me....

I bought my tickets (3 of them in section 116 row 6) two weeks before the game. Those were awesome seats. You shouldn't have any problem getting tickets at all, especially if you try to get some when they first go on sale.

If you don't mind standing up for 3 hours the Black Hole is fine. Most of the seats in the 1st and 2nd deck are very good.
