To the charger fans

Yes yes we suck. I'm not to worried about it considering before the season started I wasn't even hyped. I did what I said, get drunk at the game and have fun. Sure I'm disappointed with the performance, but whether we lose by a field goal or 100 points, a loss is a loss.

Now why are you guys so excited? You guys are undefeated against us the last two and a half years. Congratulations you keep beating one of the worst teams in football. Now the reality.

We are "chokers"? although most analysts predict us sucking anyways. So apparently we played like we should have. The last two and a half years, all I have heard is how dominant the Chargers are. Or, how they are quite possibly the best team in football.

2003: 4-12.......good showing.
2004: 12-4 and what did you do with it?
"New York entered the game after losing their last two regular season games. Although the Chargers were heavily favored on this wind-and-rain-soaked evening, the Jets led 17-7 going into the fourth quarter. But a Nate Kaeding field goal with 10:43 left to play pulled San Diego within a touchdown. A fourth-down pass by quarterback Drew Brees with under 20 seconds left fell incomplete into the end zone, but Jets linebacker Eric Barton was penalized for roughing the passer, giving the Chargers a first down from the one-yard line. Brees threw a touchdown to tight end Antonio Gates on the following play, setting up overtime. Kaeding missed a 40-yard field goal late in the extra period, allowing the Jets to come back down the field. Kicker Doug Brien won the game for the Jets with a 28-yard field goal with five seconds remaining in overtime.''

2005: 9-7. Say the Raiders are Chokers? Lol. Didn't make the playoffs, were heavily regarded as a top team in the league and choked! But hey at least you swept us right?

But whatever right........what happened in your one and ONLY superbowl appearance(which you guys were lucky to even make) let me remind you...............
SF- Rice 44 pass from S. Young (Brien kick)
SF- Watters 51 pass from S. Young (Brien kick)
SD- Means 1 run (Carney kick)
SF- Floyd 5 pass from S. Young (Brien kick)
SF- Watters 8 pass from S. Young (Brien kick)
SD- FG Carney 31
SF- Watters 9 run (Brien kick)
SF- Rice 15 pass from S. Young (Brien kick)
SD- Coleman 98 kick return (2-pt Seay from Humphries)
SF- Rice 7 pass from S. Young (Brien kick)
SD- Martin 30 pass from Humphries (2-pt Pupunu from Humphries)

-Ouch. Keep that trophy case pristine boys.

Good post. The first thing a charger fan will say is "Stop living in the past because blah blah blah" when clearly if it was them with 3 superbowls and us with none and winning right now i bet they would be bragging about there's. Either way we have 3 and at least we have a history to be proud of.

If you really want control of the team, get Madden 09 and build the franchise cuz that's as close as you'll get.

There's only one thing keeping us away from true greatness: Marty Shottenheimer.

BTW, in case you didn't know, the only reason we give you guys so much **** is because of how braggadocios you all are. Running around saying you're going to beat a team who is clearly better than your is the exact behavior that causes other teams fans to give it to you when you are proven wrong.

Yes alot of people did say we would destroy the chargers, i didnt but i did think the raiders would sneak out the upset, but i was kinda off on my prediction. Although i did sign up for the sig bet just something fun to do. I just hope after yesterdays embarassing performance Art will kick there ass' in practices and i will bet that we will see a new raiders team week two against the Ravens.
BTW need directions how to get the new sig up. Ive tryed but kept f***ing it up somehow.

I agree. I was one of them who predicted a Raiders win when I signed on to the Chargers board 5 months ago up until kickoff. Not because I thought the Raiders were better, if it were in San Diego or the middle of the season I wouldn't have said otherwise. But I though a fresh start from both teams, combined with primetime homefield advantage, a new attitude of dicipline (which left with the bullet from the starting gun) would lead us to victory. Plus with division rivals, the better team doesn't always win. It's what makes division rivals special.

Regardless, Charger fans and all divisional rival fans for that matter would've signed up in droves no matter what. It's why we're rivals: rubbing it in is so much fun. Those of us being "braggadocious" or "confident" just added fuel to the fire and gave Charger fans much more ammunition. But as a fan, what did you expect us to say. "Oh yes, the Chargers are going to whip our asses." especially considering the circumstances and the time of season it was.

Plus the attitude of a lot of Charger fans, especially the older ones, is made up of built up bitterness and frustration that dates back to the Madden era, particularly the Holy Roller. Some of the older Charger fans have waited nearly 40 years for this and are now living in the lap of luxury. Heck, if a team constantly beat me for years and years and years, but now we're now on the winning side dominating them as they did us, I would piss on their grave too. There have been times when we were both bad, or when we were both good or even when one was bad and one was good. But during that whole time, there was either a standstill or the Raiders dominated. Charger fans have never seen the likes of this. Their giddyness is almost amusing when you see it as I see it, which is why I laughed out loud reading the Chargers smack on their board last night following the game. Priceless.

Every team goes through a period of ineptitude. Now it's our turn. The NFL isn't used to seeing us this bad for this long, so after the shock wore off, the universal laughter ensued.

And continues...

Sorry it bugs you, but I grew up hating the Raiders. It started for me in the 70's with the frickin' Holy Roller play. Then when the Raiders moved to LA, and all the convicts started coming out of the woodwork, it just got worse and worse. Now I could almost give a crap about the rest of the season, as long as we beat the damn Raiders.

Win-lose-or tie, Raider-Hater til I die.

Sorry to say it, but that is what makes the Raiders the best fans in football. We EXPECT to win each and every game. Why? Because of commitment to excellence. Sure, we haven't been excellent recently. We still have the second best record in the NFL Overall. Thats called consistency. We go into every game expecting to win because history repeats itself. And in the past we won.

I feel sorry for other "sorry" franchises. I know too many 49er fans who watch games or go to games expecting their team to lose. How sad. Every Raider fan at the Coliseium was let down last night and felt like they lost the game. How many teams fans can say that. Sure you guys all come on here pressing our buttons because it hurts us that much more that we would lose to a division rival.

But as I posted recently, what have you got to be proud of? Us Raiders are proud to have a rich history and and three super bowl trophy's. We are proud to have Randy Moss. The only San Diego Jersey I saw last night was LT. I saw Randy Moss, Lamont Jordan, Rich Gannon, Jack Tatum, Steve Wisnewski, Ronnie Lott, Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Napolean Kaufman, Bo Jackson, Michael Huff, Derrick Burgess, Robert Gallery, Fabian Washington, Stu Schweigert, Kirk Morrison, Thomas Howard, Jerry Porter, Ronald Curry, Jim Otto, Art Shell, Willie Brown jerseys.

Win Lose or Tie, we will be proud to be an Oakland Raider.
P.S, I am 22 years old, and wore my Authentic Huff jersey all day today.

Having a friend with me who went to a few San Diego games last year, all it was is Gates and LT at their home games. Just shows what a rich and proud team we are.
