It should not surprise Raiders fans that Chargers fans have an inferiority complex about the Silver & Black. This is not an insult to Chargers fans (hey, I'm one!), it's a fact.

The Raiders have inflicted so much trauma on the Chargers over the teams' history -- it's like the bully down the block who made your life miserable while you were growing up.

Hopefully some of this animus and extreme contempt directed at Raiders fans will evaporate if the Chargers play up to their potential over the next few seasons and shake their long-standing rep as a loser franchise. Nothing cures inferiority complexes like playoff runs and Lombardis.

Damn AD, Charger fan you got this year to put up or shut-up! Everybody loves the Donkeys, Chefs, and (being nice) tha Bolts. By the way, I watched the AFC Championship in '81 vs. the Raiders (Cinderella team-NOT). Dan had a bad day and the Raiders capitalized. Anyway, like I said everyone loves your team and they want to PISS on ours as always. America's anti-team will upset some this year. Hey, Im not stupid-the Raiders have to be a TOUGHER TEAM or we might be looking up in the div. but taking 3 out of 6 of the AFC WEST- I'll be happy with that alone!!!! You got to start somewhere and build for a team to compete for the SB in the 3 years (that is the new outline I guess?).... Ummm, when have the Chargers ever been winners? How does having no Super Bowl trophies equate into being winners in the past let alone the future? The Chargers NEVER won a playoff game with Brees.

The run D looked better in the stat sheet IMO because of the piss poor coverage. It's no surprise that teams will throw more often instead of run if the secondary is a liability.

The Chargers have a good run D, don't get me wrong. It will definetly be tested come Monday September 11th.

I hear that argument a lot. If you believe the low YPG is due to the fact teams would just rather throw against San Diego, then I suggest looking at the YPC stats. We were at 3.5 ypc which is still good for a tie for 2nd in the NFL. Teams would throw so much because they would start abandoning the run game. The ability and ferocity of our front 7 will not be compromised by a mediocre secondary.

And yes I can't wait for 37 days from now either. But who's counting?
