July 18, 2006) -- Ten teams open training camp in the next week or so with new coaches.

New coaches generally mean new approaches on a variety of fronts, including offensive and defensive strategy.

Quote:
In most cases, there is more to teach and learn in camps of teams that have undergone a coaching change than in those of clubs with established coaches and systems.

Here is how I rank the 10 coaches who were part of one of the more dramatic offseasons of upheaval in recent memory in the order of their chances for immediate success (which means that a low ranking does not at all rule out the possibility of future success):

6. Art Shell, Oakland: He returned to a troubled Raiders team, which he coached from 1989 to 1994, after Norv Turner was fired. Shell brings much-needed toughness to the offense and will emphasize a power rushing attack that should help on both sides of the ball. His greatest challenge will be finding a consistently effective quarterback. Aaron Brooks gets the first crack

Face it... Art Shell stinks and this guy opinion proves it.

What a stupid post!

You sir, have too much time on their hands.

You come here to spew this nonsense. Why? Cuz you're stupid I guess.

Cuz this guys says so, it makes it fact? Yeah. You probably voted for GW too. That's how smart you are. That is of course, if you are old enough to vote.

Who cares what he says let alone you.

You are a Saints fan huh? Congratulations. There is a team with a long history of success.

Boy you sure got us.

Grow up!

Gotcha ya. Actually I hope Shell does great. You guys aren't in our division.

Go Raiders!

Where was Sean Payton on that list?

You have no business posting that stupid opinion. That was a good article with a stupid comment from a Saints fan.

If you really want control of the team, get Madden 09 and build the franchise cuz that's as close as you'll get.

Thanks... the Saints board sucks. It is run by a 40 year old virgin. No kidding. You can't even curse or say anything bad about the Saints without being banned the 1st time. It's a board for pussies and they have over 5000 of them.

Thanks for making me feel welcome. Now back on your knees suckers.

Mike Triplett, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees (shoulder) said he improved "a thousand percent"

Was Drew Brees a math major or has the Saints organization made him dumber?
