Grade your offseason

Well, it could be better..but it could be a lot worse.

We let go a small, undersized disruption in Lloyd.
Let go Carter, our pass rusher who doesn't pass rush.
We lost Petersen, who I would have liked to keep, who, since his injury has not played anywhere near his previous level. "Hawks vastly overpaid.
And we let Fred Beaseley go, who was benched early last season, and knew he was on the way out.

We added Larry Allen, who is now our left guard, playing between Jonas Jennings, a very good tackle, and arguably the best center in the league (when healthy) Newberry. Signing Allen let Smiley go back to his position at right guard. Heitman and Bass are both backup guards and backup center.
Hmmm..it appears our line just went to quite respectable, doesn't it?

We also signed WR's Antonio Bryant, and Bryan Gilmore, improving over the departed Lloyd.

Signed CB Walt Harris from Washington.

Have 11 picks in the upcoming draft, that is fat with WR's and defense. Not bad so far.

Let me see what the Raiders have done, so far.

Hmmm..Brooks signed, who was benched by the Saints.

Tyrone Poole, cb, from NE.

Starks, cb, from NE.

Lost your nose tackle Washington.
Lost DB Hill.

Well..what say you?

Wouldn't exactly say that you guys are filling any holes, would you?

I know..ABC..anybody but Collins for your qb..but is that what you're reduced to? "it's better..oh well"?

Starks?? the walking bandaid? gets hurt shaving?

Whew..looks like you guys are hoping for a windfall of draft picks that will just step right in and contribute.

"You suck Mike"
"you're a faggot"
"Your team sucks"
"why don't you leave us alone, you big meany"

That should leave out about half of you.

First off..how is it you get confused so easily? What did I state on harris? Only that we signed him. It was YOU that are making a deal of harris. However, you saying he's terrible means you truly are confused. In 13 games he had 68 combined, not great, not bad, tackles last year.

Hill HAD THE MOST TACKLES ON YOUR TEAM..Washington played all 16 games last two years for you, and is known across the league as one of the premier run stoppers..Do you even read? You follow the game at all? Young and hungry? No..it's called you were in salary cap HELL, and HAD NO CHOICE but to cut everywhere..

In other words, you dont' really have anything to say regarding your offseason.

Next time just say "I don't know." that would save us both the time and energy, don't you think?

Thus far, is the key here.

As for your assessment - pretty accurate.

Have you ever seen Al this quiet in the offseason?

Do you think he might have something big in the works?

Randy Moss big, perhaps?

Al is NEVER this quiet.............he's up to something.

Well, I wouldn't put it past either of our teams to try and trade up in the draft. We have 11 draft picks for this year..not sure how many you guys have.

I know Al loves that move up to grab someone in front of someone else..and there's a lot of sense if there's that guy you want, and the price is right.

I expect us to to after Vernon, Hawk, or Huff. Can't imagine Houston letting Bush go, unless someone sold them the farm.
Of course, the Raiders have different needs..who knows if Al is happy with Brooks, for now, or if you'll settle for Cutler or Young, or if you'll trade up for Leinart. Lots of "if's".

Kind of makes it fun, don't it?

I sometimes get headaches when I'm too 'profound'.

It's a burden I bear.

Like you figuring out the meanings of "dike" and "dyke".

I do give Mike credit for one thing, he talks like a fan!

sure theres some homerism there like Newberry being the best C in the league when healthy.. but notice how he doesnt decapitate Newberry for being injury prone? We do that to our injured guys, and yes hes a moron for talking big about Newberry whos injured and then talking down about how our depth CBs are injury prone but it is the smack forum.. notice how positive he stays about his garbage signings? Will Antonio Bryant gain 1,000 yards with Alex Smith throwing him the ball? NO

Walt Harris is garbage but hes still positive about him

Bryan Gilmore is ridiculous garbage.. the only good signing of the bunch was Larry Allen.. who isnt capable of turning a garbage franchise like the 9ers into a winning team.

Gee..sorry..didn't know that you couldn't comprehend the basics. See..I stated it was an improvement over the tiny Lloyd. It is..apparently you read between the lines. Get bifocals, you missed the fine print. Stated: "Signed Walt Harris from Wash"..now, where the hell did you get "but he's still positive about him". Again, pay attention..quit letting your mind wander..stop assuming. Otherwise that "moron" title comes to mind.
With Newberry..I even added "WHEN HEALTHY"..Now..again..what confused you? I followed it with who his backups are, in the event he can't play.

I can go on, but I think you get the point. It appears you get confused easily, and just need simple things explained to you. Sad..but..considering your post, understandable.

Now, quit your damn whining.

However..I will give you credit for one thing. You, being a Raider fan, know full well what a garbage organization is. Doesn't mean your sorry take matters, but at least I give you credit for being an expert on something.
