We lost Petersen, who I would have liked to keep, who, since his injury has not played anywhere near his previous level. "Hawks vastly overpaid.
And we let Fred Beaseley go, who was benched early last season, and knew he was on the way out.

We added Larry Allen, who is now our left guard, playing between Jonas Jennings, a very good tackle, and arguably the best center in the league (when healthy) Newberry. Signing Allen let Smiley go back to his position at right guard. Heitman and Bass are both backup guards and backup center.
Hmmm..it appears our line just went to quite respectable, doesn't it?

We also signed WR's Antonio Bryant, and Bryan Gilmore, improving over the departed Lloyd.

Signed CB Walt Harris from Washington.

Have 11 picks in the upcoming draft, that is fat with WR's and defense. Not bad so far.

Let me see what the Raiders have done, so far.

Hmmm..Brooks signed, who was benched by the Saints.

Tyrone Poole, cb, from NE.

Starks, cb, from NE.

Lost your nose tackle Washington.
Lost DB Hill.

Well..what say you?

Wouldn't exactly say that you guys are filling any holes, would you?

I know..ABC..anybody but Collins for your qb..but is that what you're reduced to? "it's better..oh well"?

Starks?? the walking bandaid? gets hurt shaving?

Whew..looks like you guys are hoping for a windfall of draft picks that will just step right in and contribute.
You are a ball buster! I won't comment on the Niners, but I love your assessment of Brooks: "benched by the Saints". Classic! I guess the fact that he has thrown 124 TDs vs. 84 ints doesn't mean anything? First Saints QB to win a playoff game? Winning record as a starter until '05 season, which was a disaster for the whole organization, not just him? Not making him out to be Peyton Manning, but he's pretty good. According to numerous media reports, Davis has always coveted him, and he got him dirt cheap after other teams tripped over each other for the likes of McCown and Ramsey. Pretty smart move, and now they have the best QB in the bay hands down. But that's not saying much since that was true of Collins last year too.

I'm sorry, but you seemed to have not read the rules.

It states in rule 7c. Any team that signs Duane Starks, who's missed 26 games in the last 4 years, including ALL of '03 may not laugh at any choices any other team makes.

Squirrley rule, but one, none the less.

Of course, that rule is not to be confused with rule 7d, which states ANY team that hires Starks AND Tyrone Poole, who ALSO MISSED 26 GAMES..but in his case did it in the last TWO YEARS, not only may not laugh at any other teams choices, but should pay a fee.

Hey..you brought it up, so, lol...I mean...STARKS?? POOLE?? and you laugh at Harris? Good one.

Starks, Poole for the Raiders = depth

Harris for the niners = answer to your defensive problems?

Antonio Bryant....wasn't he let go because he was a headcase like TO but not as talented?

make some sense when you post please especially when criticizing.

Excuse me..but you sound confused.
Harris is depth for the Niners. Who the hell said he's starting?

Starks and Poole are a joke. Depth? lol..they suck, and they are always injured.

Yeah, Bryant's not as talented as TO. No one is. Guess we'll just take our chances.

Now..back to the fact that so far, the Raiders have been either dead last in off season activity, or close to it. For a team that was one of the absolute worst in the AFC you would think something besides guys that have ended last year ON THE BENCH would be nice? lol..then again..

Never knew there was a ranking system on off season transactions or is it the fact that this is how deep you must dig to try and prove to yourself that your team is better than the raiders? Stop now before you really look like the ass that you see every day in the mirror... well it might be to late for that. Come on I can see this type of banter coming from a team that has not won a superbowl but really , think how pathetic you must look to the other whiner fans out there, on second thought you said they kicked you out of that forum also right? Its to late for that to.

Oh well I guess its a free forum so you can stay as long as you follow the rules right? Keep digging up all these trivial numbers and theories just so you can tell your self "we really aren't in that bad a shape if you think of it this way". Oh and how many of your quarterbacks rode the bench last year or was that the organizations intentions...to play Musical QB's?
