Another Dissapointing Season Looming Us!! - Oakland Raiders Forum | Message Board

I know that it isn't good to be pessimistic, but we are in for another dissapointing season. Just look at the team we have!! Our offense stinks (with the exception of Moss & Jordan), and our defense has been depleted with the exit of Woodson. We have no QB!! We don't even have a reliable backup QB!! Seriously guys, do you think that a #7 draft pick is going to elevate the Raiders into the playoffs? NOOOOO!! I'm so frustrated that the Raiders refuse to make moves in the free agency market. Is it me, or does it seem like the Raiders management are solely focused on the draft and nothing else??

Raider fans, listen up. You really thought this 4-12 season was bad?? Well, you're in for a treat this up coming season. For all of you who are soooo hyped about this draft, you will probably be excited to hear that we will most likely have a better first round draft pick next year with they way things are shaping up to be!! Yes, I would like to be proved wrong. I want people to come back on this thread and tell me how wrong I was and that the Raiders made the playoffs. I want people to come and smack talk me if the Raiders make the playoffs. That's why I'm a fan of Steve Hartman. He never settles for anything other then success. Why does he bash the Lakers and the Raiders time and time again? Because, he expect more from the Lakers and Raiders other then a mediocre/crappy season. We expect more then waiting for the team to "rebuild." The same goes for me and the Raiders (and my Lakers, of course). I expect wins. "Win baby win!!" Until that happens, until I see the management making moves and bring in the right components into building a winner, I'll be on here talking smack about my beloved Raiders until either the Raiders turn it around, or I turn Benedict Arnold and become a full-time Chargers fan.

*To any new readers, I've already stated my case that I wasn't serious about changing sides and that I'd NEVER switch sides and cheer against the Raiders. I was just frustrated, didn't really mean it. I even went into a bar when the Raiders played the Chargers with my Raiders shirt later into the season. Apologies.

I want to hear from all the fans!! How is this upcoming season going to be different from last year? Am I way off on my venting? Did I go too far as a Raider fan, or was I right on the money?

your crystal ball has a crack in it get a new one and while your at it find a bandwagon to join that doesnt include hating on the raiders

Boo hoo I'm a "Raiders Fan" and we are going to stink because we didn't sign Josh McCown or Daunte or Brees. Waaaaahhhh.

Please. We have almost the same roster as last season and last season everybody was cheering that we would be going to the GD Super Bowl because we signed Moss and Jordan.

Our team is a work in progress, so if you don't have the patience to see it through then go be a f'in Bolts fan

Well, I understand you guys for being pissed off at me, but I'm a Raiders fan whether you like it or not!! I LOVE THIS TEAM!! I really do, but someone had to say it. I don't understand why we can't say the truth about what's going on with this once great team. Remember guys? Remember when we were the MOST FEARED team in the NFL? Remember how great we were? Remember? Now look at us!! There are teams that actually want to play us now. Yes, I went a little too far about my comment on switching over to the Chargers (which there's a 99.99 % chance I wouldn't), but I was trying to make a point. Yeah, go ahead and curse me out and trash talk me to death. It's cool with me. I'll take the heat. Will you take the heat if the Raiders get humiliated for the third straight season?

damn...we should be signing players all the time in free agency. Anybody with a name, because the Redskins have won numerous Super Bowls since Dan Synder's been in charge.

Give me a break

People need to start remembering this is the NFL not "Madden." You don't just sign all players rated over "85." We signed a lot of players the past two years and we sucked. So if we signed players this year, we would be an automatic winner. I don't think so.

I'm ready for a crappy season but I think it might be best to just address our needs through drafts & just rebuild for once. Like others said we will finally have some damn money to work with in the future & we can finally build a team that can be successful for multiple years. I'm ready to go with some hard years with Walter if it will equal to a lot of great years later on in the future!

wrong! nobody had to say anything, we are not stupid we know we have holes to fill, we may not all agree on how to fill them but giving up on your team after three days of free agency and then flinging crap all over an oakland raider message board just aint gonna fly with me, you wanna be a little miss know it all so be it but dont get pi$$ed when we call you on it!
