I have already PMd you but you won't respond so I am posting here....

How much do you know about history? How much do you know about anything? I never called you a racist, all I stated is that some of your ideas show that you have issues. That led you to believe I was calling you a racist; well, if the shoe fits wear it.

You probably won't read the article above, but the qoute is from page 22...

The data was gathered by Devah Pager who sent out matching resumes where the only differences were whether the candidate was white or black and a former felon or not, Prager found the usual fact that black applicants get fewer interviews than white applicants. Black non-offenders fall behind even whites with prior felony convictions.

I too believe that hard work, integrity, good solid morals, education, a positive attitude, and experience goes a long way in the world. However statistics show that not being an African American will help you go even further. Think about it; if Bush was an African American with the same resume would he be president? You know that answer to that...

Im not even going to look at the link. I believe that race issues should not be discussed anywhere on a raider forum. I believe this is out of place even from the smack forum. JMO.

Sorry if you found my post offensive.

My purpose was not to offend anyone (except AW71), it was to provide information. Racism is fueled by ignorance or lack of knowledge. This was topic that I did not start however something that was used to flame me... If others are allowed to divide with their misinformation, is it wrong to post information that can help break down the barriers?

cause I can't help myself. Really it is sad, I saw this thread and said to myself that I wasn't going to comment. But I did anyway. I love political talk, especially with someone who seems to have an intelligent argument.
