Crappy coach this year?
all the good coaches are getting signed, like 2 years ago we were too late to sign a good coach so we were left with a pile of dump signing norv turner, that signing we gave norv turner always made me scratch my balls about our ability to sign quality coaches

there are more good caoching prospects then vacent spots so even if we are last there will be some solid coaches left

There is still Rivera, Ken Whisenhunt, Petrino (don't care what Louisville says) and many others I'm not going to search for. Its still early, we have time. Please be calm...all is well.

I may be in a small minority here, but I don't care!
The way I see it our problems trancend coaching - we need to cultivate a Culture of Discipline. No, not hire all geeks, but hire and train for this team to be RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE for it's performance. Having guys call out other guys, call out coaches and bitch about in-house things ... that **** takes a toll in the 4th quarter of a close game when you HAVE TO behave as a UNIT. Ben's game saving tackle on the Bettis fumble ... is Cowher responsible for that, or is Ben .............. OR is the entire Steeler team? I say the Steeler TEAM - they are a great example of a Culture of Discipline - each dude makes it his personal responsibility to do WHATEVER must be done to win. Does Ben make tackles? No, he's a QB. But when a defender is running downfield after a fumble recovery to take a lead in a game ... you bet your ass Ben makes tackles. Would Kery have? Would LJ have? I envision either of them saying in the next days press conference (after the LOSS): "I don't practice tackling." or "Why did coach have Jermone running the ball in the first place?" A coach can't "fix" this - he can help, but it's up to the men themselves. I trust many of our current players to help us get to where say, the Steelers are now: Clark, Hamilton, Gallery (Gallery will gladly make a tackle if need be!) etc. I trust no single available or unavailable coach to "make the switch" for us.
