49ers crowd a mixed bag This season, the 49ers have created an ad campaign based around the long-time catchphrase "49ers Faithful." But from the looks of things, the faithful have shrunk considerably in numbers. On Sunday's game between the 49ers and Cowboys at - on a blog we will call it what everyone calls it anyway - Candlestick Park, the game was ostensibly sold out. It was on television. But it appeared that a large percentage of the crowd was Cowboys fans. They were loud. They were boisterous. And they were decked on in their blue and white jerseys. Do we need to point out that this wouldn't happen across the Bay? Even though the Raiders don't sell out their stadium very often on game day, they never, ever sell 30 to 50-percent of the seats to the opposition. Maybe that's only because of the fear factor. And, yeah, I think it's a pretty sad and stupid environment where fans won't war their teams colors for fear of physical violence and maybe going home with a beer dumped on their head. But, at the same time, there's something to be said for team pride. For a stadium full of the same color, roaring its unconditional, completely onesided support. That wasn't the case on Sunday in San Francisco. When the Cowboys used to come to town, back in the day, you would never see half the stadium wearing Aikman or Irvin jersies. A few here or there, but not in the kind of numbers that you saw on Sunday. But the Cowboys haven't been to the 'Stick since 1997. And back then, three years after a Super Bowl, with the 49ers team still loaded with stars, tickets were darn hard to come by. That's not the case these days. The Cowboy fans in the Bay Area had the chance to swoop in and snap up all those tickets the Faithful forgot to buy. Judging by the way the 49ers played against St. Louis two weeks ago and the way they played in the first half today, they like playing at home. Maybe sometime in the future their home stadium will feel like a real homefield advantage again. Quote:
First off, yes, it's true that many season ticket holders keep their tickets, and will offer them for sell online or wherever, for a game, for whatever reason. Niners are sold out. Many Niner fans have numerous tickets. My ex-partner has 16 seats, and if not comp'ing them to distributors, etc. he sells them. During the Niners Super Bowl runs, other Niner fans left out grabbed them up, paying big bucks. Now, of course, opposing fans that wait for their team to come to town, in this case, Dallas fans, grab them up. Hell, I was in AZ Jan. 1..I SHOULD have advertised my seats to sell..just ran out of time..any Houstan fan who's one and only chance to see their team would be welcome to buy it..no biggee. Now..onto your above comments..30-50%?? lol..try 10%, if that..and were mainly in 3 upper deck areas..sec. 40, 46, 52. and of course, spread out sparesly.. Now, comment above is 'this would never happen across the bay"? First off..IT DID. This article was before the Raider/Dallas game where there were a LOT of Dallas fans at oakland..not as many as at SF though, I imagine. why is that? Well, lol..it's NOT because Raider fans didn't 'sell their tickets'..because the Dallas game still wasn't sold out..it was because Dallas fans enjoy going to the SF game MUCH MORE than the Raider game..might be security, more likely because we at one point had a rivalry going back and forth in NFC playoff and championship games going..Dallas never had that, obviously, with the Raiders. Read between the lines..many opposing fans don't go to Oakland because of all the reports about fan hostility. Not saying their true or not, but considering most opposing teams fans stay away from Oakland means the above image hurts the raiders at the bank. No butts in seats means no money in pocket means no sell outs. I enjoy attending games where opposing fans are in area..in most cases it's fun. Raider fans, or at least some, ruin it for the rest because of insecurites that state 'we can't handle seeing rivals close by". Pathetic..don't you think?

Ehhh... I never commented on anything. Maybe you read the article wrong. I never claimed any 30-50 percent bull****.
I do not mind opposing teams fans sitting in my area. A Chief fan sat in my section at the game and I did not take it personally or "couldn't handle seeing rivals close by". I always wonder why you base a lot of your arguments/claims on stereotyping or speculation. I guess when you do not have facts, you have to make them up. No biggy. Like I have said for a long time, your claims once again hold no validity. I'm telling you, you should try out to be a powder puff girl.

You didn't mention gay?? Read your post, moron Quote:
Another "oops..stepped in it again' from RaiderBitch...would you like for me to post your comments to me "where have you been? You've been gone for a couple of weeks..and now you show"? lol.. And now your back to whining about "go away, leave me alone"? Sorry RaiderBitch, I enjoy watching you squirm. Get used to it. Wow..are you a fan of mine? I commented a while back where I post..and you MEMORIZED IT?? Are you friggin' serious? lol..damn..want an autograph or something? Send $10.00 and a self addressed envelope..I'll get one out to you. As far as "belonging to tons of sites to interact'? lol..Yeah, I enjoy smacking on Rivals..unlike your sorry slapped on ass that stays in one little spot because you don't have the balls to go somewhere without support. See..your idiot gay takes, your stupid "have your sister call me"..and the even sorrier weakest of the weak "go play on freeway" means you would be chewed up and spit out on ANY of the Raiders rival sites. Unlike YOU, I can hold my own..unlike you I'm not reduced immediately to childish pathetic gradeschool takes. So..good to see you know your limits. Stay here, where it's safe. I prefer a little challenge..and damn dude, you give me none..as in zip, lol.

As well...READ BEFORE YOU POST..I NEVER base my claims on stereotyping..if anything I'm on record here MANY times saying the stereotyping is bull****..AND..I ADDED "Read between the lines..many opposing fans don't go to Oakland because of all the reports about fan hostility. Not saying their true or not, but considering most opposing teams fans stay away from Oakland means the above image hurts the raiders at the bank." See the "NOT saying it's true or not"..stating what the perspective is. Save the "your claims have no validity" copout whine. Any claim I make you're free to "inform me on". The fact you're generalizing means you have little to nothing. If you did, you would clarify it. Feel free to correct anything you feel I stated as wrong, instead of the copout you gave above.

It's OK Mikey I didn't mean to hit a nerve.. I'm a Raider fan on a Raider site, why the fuk would I go to many sites to talk ****? No need. I have a life.. You never respond to threads properly anyway and you ramble about **** that makes no sense.. I could have a better conversation with a Chef fan..
Your team is pathetic and the fact that 5,000 fans are at a game that is still sold out is pathetic.. Bush Bowl was sad considering both **** stain teams tried to lose.. And calling you a girl means you're a pussy.. Biatch..

Of course you wouldn't go to another site..Like I said, you get **** on here. How could you possibly expect to hang anywhere else? Besides, your the idiot that posts threads directed at all other fans, then hope and wait for fellow raider fans to help you up when you get stomped. Like I said, stay here. If you lose the exchanges on your own teams board, even you aren't stupid enough to not figure out you'll get torched everywhere else. See..I notice Bronco fans, charger fans, KC fans, Bengal fans, etc..and yes, Niner fans stop in to smack on Raiders..only your sorryass replys 'I don't have the huevos to go to any other site' Good thing all fans aren't as you are..no backbone must suck. LMAO at how much it bugs your punkass that we won our last two games. We know we're rebuilding..you're below us now. You have NO coach, NO qb, and so far you have NO ONE in line to replace either of them..lol..damn. Should be fun, RaiderBitch...don't you think?

Your opening to that paragraph was "Now moving onto your comment"... once again, you pulled something from the air, got challenged, and back peddled into a different stance. Good job. I generalized? Did I? Hmmm... who gave you a degree again?.....? ![]() Pot, kettle, black. The king of cop outs states I should stay away from copping out...

As I stated..IF you wanted to dispute a single take..do it. You didn't. Now..question is..was I wrong on anything, or are you just incapable? My money says nay on former, resounding YOWZAH on latter. ![]() Copout?? what the hell are you referring to? Show me ONE area you challenged me on that I copped out on...ONE. Hell, I challenged you on numerous things above..you copped out on ALL OF THEM..so..as I stated..I already challenged you where you COPPED OUT..I'll wait for you to show me where you stated I did..and NO COPOUTS ON THE REPLY

Considering we have the exact same record for last three years..us with a new coach, new rookie qb and with one of the youngest teams in the NFL..and you with NO coach, NO qb, means you can put your team where ever you state our team is. Pretty weakass crap to talk about LAST year..of course..looking at your post, should I expect any different? Another idiot kid or sorryass bitchslapped adult with grade school gay crap. "rainbow stadium"? in capitols? Let me guess..you giggled, didn't you? Your inept ass actually feels proud of yourself for THAT?? Here's my guarantee to you..you just shot your wad..and you won't be back..see..you're like my new bitch RaiderBitch..without gay takes you're defenseless..something like the Raiders. now..get back to giggling, fool that you be.
