This guy was supposed to be the next great tackle. This guys has regressed if anything. Hell he couldn't even beat out Barry Sims at his natural position of LT.
Jake Grove is not as mean and nasty as every one has portrayed him to be either. He was supposed to be this great run block with a mean streak, I have yet to see that at all.
Adam Treu may be a good long snapper but the guy flat out does not get it done as a starter. I especially like the play were he stood there not blocking any one and watched Jordan get tackled in the backfield.

All I have to say is this is pathetic. The o-line was supposed to be a strength. This group is horrendous at best!

i never liked the pick, but i think its too early to call him a bust. He basically has to dominate next year to shake that label though. If he does anything less than perform to what he was capable of next year, he'll be a bust. Bottomline, he just hasn't performed up to the level of his peers that he was drafted with.

Raiders Oline coach Jim Colletto.. zone blocking sytem is just not work.. I don't think Gallery or Grove are busts this is only their 2nd year.. I don't think Colletto will be back next year. Gallery needs to play LT not LG or RT. Just give them time

Yes IMO.

Like Grove he was supposed to be mean and nasty, neither are, they're soft.

I think Robert Gallery will prove to be a huge bust. He can't run block, he's slow, weak, his footwork is poor, he can't handle speed or power rushers, he shows no intensity at all. Yesterday he held, then still got whooped for a sack! he can't even hold properly! - he doesn't finish blocks either.

Where is this man mountain? dominating beast? future Pro Bowler?, many were calling him a Pro Bowler THIS SEASON.

I don't buy the excuses, he would not be any better if he were at LT. What does it say that he couldn't beat out Barry Sims?

I'm not sugar coating Robert Gallery anymore he'll be a bust IMO.

hopefully he doesn't turn into another Tony Mandrich. Give him a couple of years to develop and he needs to be playing LT.

Like I said he was supposed to be this great LT. Well he hasn't taken one snap at LT. He was supposed to come in and start right away. He was supposed to dominate. I have yet to see any of this. Like I said if anything he has regressed since he arrived. Definitely not a #2 overall pick. #2 overall picks are supposed to come in and contribute right away. For the most part any way unless it is a QB.

Most players in the NFL regress in their 2nd year. The line is as good as the weakest link and the weakest link are the guards.

I think it's a little early to call them busts but they are struggling. I agree that the nastiness and mean streak that we thought we were getting in these guys have yet to be seen. Grove and Gallery both have appearred to regress this season. They are getting man-handled inside and not quick enough to pick up blitzers. The QB takes a lot of the blame but we're not giving our RBs and QBs much time or getting a lot of push. The battle is won upfront and most of the year, we're being whipped!

Although Gallery hasn't been dominant, he's been good...well, as good as anyone on this line has been. At times he's made mental errors that have cost him, but I am not ready to say bust.

I disagree that he's slow and has terrible footwork. If anything, I'm surprised to see that he's apparently lost his mean streak this season. Jim Colletto appears to be more of a bust than Gallery. Gallery is still young and can improve.
