Anyone here who remembers the wilson-marinovich-george years and is still a fan (I believe that is most of us) AINT no bandwaggoner . . . Some of us didnt like the KC pickup in the first place and are glad he's on the bench - hopefully on his way out of Oakland. I wasnt ecstatic about our picking up Gannon, but I didnt know him well as a player and was happy to tell my friends, when they asked, that we'll see what he's got. I knew alot more about KC when we picked him up and have dreaded every day since. Nobody here will be calling for Tui's head after the Jets game. The highlights BSPN showed were the overthrow INT(to Moss) and the 2 fumbles caused by Abraham. Credit to Abe for those, Tui stepped up in the pocket and had nowhere to go on both occassions, that is due to the O line. I agree with previous posters that many areas need work/improvement but QB is the only one where we could realistically make a change.

Now, go root for the 1-12 PBurnt led Texans . . .

Excellent post! I love this morning! Being reminded things could be worse all over... From Wilson (uhg!), to Stone Hands... er I mean Ricky Dudley. I bet in years to come, Sims and Stone will be added to that list too.

All things considered, at least our QB isn't our back up punter any more...lol

The fact of the matter is, 95% of the people on this site are bandwagon jumpers that know a minimal about actual football. I look at this site less and less because of it. I remember the 2003 season, you guys were beating on Gannon, calling him an old man, etc. Now you're begging for him to come back. I'd like to see you take a shot at an Oakland Raider to an Oakland Raider. It makes me sick to my stomach to read this garbage and you guys can take all the shots at me that you want, but it's the sad truth.

I have selected a certain area of your post to comment.

What the hell do you know about football anyway? We, as FANS have a right to comment on the team. We spend OUR hard earned money supporting the product, and spend even more hours watching the team, commenting on the team, and going to sites like this to be around people like us. We, collectively, know a whole bunch more about being a fan than you do, apparently. The bandwagon you refer to is our desire to win....and win now. If that means change the QB, then we should express it. When that doesnt work, and remember, we want to win at all costs, then change something else. I believe we, AS FANS, called for that with White. I believe we, AS FANS, called for that with Jeff George. We want to win, and we want to win now. That is a fan. We dont expect anyone from the organization to listen to us, and that is OK. We just want to be heard. And, we want to win...were not Cardinal fans, after all. But bottom line, we wake up every...every....every Sunday and say (no matter what QB is starting today): THIS, this is the day we start winning. And you know why? Because we are fans.

As for our content...pal, you are completely wrong. This site has significantly more content than most I have found, for any team. There are bright football minds here that know what they are talking about, and I consider myself one of them.

We are the faithful who have stuck with this team through the longest dry spell in team history. That, pal, is a fan...and a damn good one. Perhaps you should re-evaluate your definitions, or perhaps I see anotherr team in your future...but either way, I dont see a fan of the team I love

Great Post!! I second every word of it.

I think as fans we try to find reasons why the team could not achieve up to our expectations and sometimes we carelessly throw out names of players, coaches etc and pin the blame on them. The fact of the matter is, that the Raiders must play as a team and take responsibility for their mistakes. Not one player is solely repsonsible for any of the losses. This is the ultimate team game and everyone is accountable for their own part. From Kerry Collins or Tui to Fabian and Aso to Johnnie Morant and Justin Fargas, all of them have some part as to why we win or lose. We as fans demand and deserve for our team to win....Why?? Because we stick by them, root for them, cheer for them week in and week out. Because we post stupid comments on why my idea is better than this guys idea. Because we honestly believe that if we could just do this one thing better then we could win. Because we are RAIDER FANS!! We are part of the best franchise in professional sports and once a Raider always a Raider. We will turn this thing around. I know it, I believe it, and all true Raider fans do also.

Collins changed his style of play from a long gunner to a non-looking dump off master. With the break down of the Oline a mobile Tui gives us a better shot at winning than an immobile Collins. Why did Tui perform poorly? Even before he planted his back foot on the 5 and 7 foot drops, he was hit from his blindside many times (aka Sims flood gates). LJ dropped passes missed blitz pick ups. Whitted got hit in the chest with the ball in the endzone and didn't even know it.

Playcalling was poor - if Sims was getting beat so much, why didn't they call QB sneaks, roll outs to the right, etc. Throw high percentage passes in the medium range.

Is Tui the answer? Maybe. Maybe Not. We need to see what he can and can not do to evaluate whether we upgrade that position. Collins had his shot. Its Tuis now.

You sound like a Madden football learner. All opinion (probably via ESPN, Woody Paige, Tom Jackson etc), no real analysis ever. Yes, most bandwagon jumpers jump from 13-0 teams to 4-9 teams (note sarcasm). Come on - common sense.

No, I dont' want Gannon back but I respect his ability to be an on the field general. I'd like to see that in Collins, Tui, and Walter. My biggest disappoinment with Tui yesterday was not the play - it was that he was not getting in the faces of the O and telling it like it is.

Get real. The people who are here except the most of the guys with player monikers are Raider fans. You, obviously, are not.
Use your brain... I never claimed people were bandwagon jumping on the team... I'm talking about the players... Collins, Gannon, Tui, Sapp, Moss, Turner, etc, etc... READ!!!

And I also said "95% of the people on this site" at the beginning, too... I'm 21, and I assistant coach a high school football team, so blow me...

First off, i'm 21, i like showtime cause hes a smart ass show boat... second off, i meant take a shot as in call Kerry Collins a loser to Jerry Porter's face... and third off, not bandwagon jumping on the team, but on the players (now, its not collins fault, its the olines)... and fourth off, blow me...
