That is sad. I have been through Hi's and Lo's with this team over 37 years. Your a poser and don't deserve to call yourself a fan of anything. Specifically a fan of the greatest franchise ever. The problem is not Moss. It's Collins. I used to really like the guy, early in his career when he was with Carolina. But there was a reason why the Giants were willing to give up two No. 1 draft choices to replace Collins. Now you know why.
That's why I rolled my eyes when the likes of Pete Prisco started spewing all that hyperbole about the Collins-to-Moss connection, and the addition of L. Jordan, were going to power the Raiders to the Super Bowl. I knew it was BS then and it's clearly BS now. Collins still has a few decent seasons in him, as a back-up. The Raiders will continue to inhabit the cellar of the AFC West with Collins as the starter, with Plummer, Brees, and Green in the same division. The best thing for the Raiders is to trade for, or sign, a young and promising prospect at QB; try to match what Carolina did with Delhomme. Trying to develop a draft choice will take to long, and waste the offensive talent you have now: Moss, Porter, Gabriel, LaMont, and Courtney. It's too bad for the Raiders, but AJ Smith will never trade Phillip Rivers to Oakland. And Rivers is probably the best young and available prospect out there. I don't know how the Raiders are going to fix their QB problem in one season. But if Collins is the starter again next season, you Raiders fans will be crying in your beer on Week 10 again like you are now.  Kerry Collins
