Moss Looking Forward to Mile High Stadium Trip

(AP) Oakland, CA - In a personal interview today, wide receiver extraordinaire and Raiders team pharmacist Randy Moss refused to apologize or retract his earlier statements concerning his use of marijuana, and instead declared that he is looking forward to his teams trip to play in Denver's Mile High Stadium later this season.

"I've played high before, but never a mile high!" said Moss with a glimmer of anticipation in his eyes. "If it's everything, you know, I think it will be I might just stay there after the game and request a trade."

Teammates were understandably angry at Moss for breaking up hard-earned team unity and focus before the season even started. "I had alot of respect for Randy (Moss) coming in," said kicker Sebastian Janikowski, "but a true teammate wouldn't keep that to themselves, they'd pass it around." Warren Sapp concurrred. "That sh** ain't right, holding out on teammates."

When pressed whether he still smokes marijuana, the star receiver said: "You know, I might. I might, you know, still have fun" as he emphatically nodded his head and winked. "OK, I do." He suddenly beamed with a big grin. "And, you know," Moss continued, "hopefully ... I won't you know, get into any trouble by the NFL by saying that, you know. I have had fun throughout my years but, you know, it was, you know, only during the season or the offseason. You know."

When asked what kind of message it sends to kids, Moss replied, ""But, you know, I don't want any kids, you know, watching, you know, this taking a lesson from me as far as 'Well, you know, Randy Moss used it so I'm going to use it.' You know. I don't want kids to, you know, think that you can take drugs everyday, you know. Like I say ... I have used (marijuana) in the past. But you know, every new moon and every weekday I still might. But, you know. Kids, here's my message: Stay in milk, drink school, that's what I'm talking about. You can't hit the spleef and still be an NFL star. Well maybe I can do that - but not you. It was alot of fun though you know, I won't, you know, lie about that. Good times ... good times. You know?"

The NFL's drug testing center has moved a portable trailer adjoining the lab so that Moss can have somewhere to rest in between the 5 league administered drug tests a day he will be undertaking this season.

Other NFL veterans have expressed shock at the star receivers admission.

"That's just sad, shame on Randy Moss. It's a terrible day for football when someone that our children look up to openly discusses their drug use as preferrable to playing sports," said Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams."

Ray Lewis of The Baltimore Ravens called Moss a "... poor role model and a thug. He's everything that's wrong with the NFL and doesn't deserve his positive image in the press."

Former Raiders quarterback Todd "Marijuanovich" Marinovich concurred. "I am shocked that a player of his caliber would throw his talent away like that. Simply shocked."

Bill Romanowski, another former Raider legend, simply says that Moss, "has no class."

Past transgressions include running a traffic control officer over with his car in 2002, verbally abusing corporate sponsors on a team bus in 2001, squirting an official with a water bottle in 1999, and the sharp spike of teen pregnancies in Minnesota during his time with the Vikings organization.

But here's what you did not know. The article was not posted in its entirety. There is another paragraph or two with another bit of NFL news that somehow got omitted. So in order that we all stay informed and up to date on all of the NFL related events, I will post the rest of the article.
(Sorry, Link would not work)

....and the sharp spike of teen pregnancies in Minnesota during his time with the Vikings organization.

Other NFL news, According to reports, last week San Diego Coach M. Shottenheimer offered to trade the whole San Diego Charger's receiving corps to the Oakland Raiders for Randy Moss. When told of the offer, Al Davis replied, "San Diego doesn't have anything the Raid-uhs could possibly want - or need." rejecting Shottenheimer's offer and essentially treating Marty like a step-child. Still wanting Moss, Shottenheimer sweetened the offer. He offered the Chargers whole receiving corps, plus his firstborn, half his starting defensive line and L.T. - all for Moss. Again Al Davis rejected this offer. Marty then pulled out all the stops, offering the whole San Diego Chargers franchise and his dog “Sparky” for Moss. Upon being rejected yet again, Marty then begged Al Davis that if they could not work a trade to please not make the details of this offer public. And you know Al Davis can keep a secret.

After being turned away in his quest for Moss, Marty was next seen outside Raider headquarters rolling on the sidewalk - his face distorted and beet red - kicking and crying and screaming for his momma. Then the NFL Coaching Police Special Force came and hauled him away.

Who is willing to help Randy out? Someone driving to the Denver game will probably have to bring his stash since the airports already know he is coming ...

Nobody can cover Moss - but that assumes Collins can get the ball to him without tasting turf ...
