Dickhead Athletes

Sorry I was bored and at work two things I do not really enjoy and decided to start a discussion where people could tell about athletes either being total dick heads or real class-acts. I have one this one happened to one of my female friends Emmitt Smith was here in Pensacola at a golf tournement when a kid asked for his autograph and Emmitt said if the kid had 20$ he'd give him his autograph well my friend saw this and saw him later well she was working and when Emmitt asked for a drink she said if he had 20$ and refused to serve him.

Back like 11-12 years ago I was at a wedding reception at a Hotel in Marina del rey here in the LA area....I saw Laker Sedale "the thief" Threat who was hangin out with his woman. 76ers Jerry Stackhouse and Derrick Coleman, were in town to play the Lake show so they were all hangin out. Long story short Sedale was kool as hell , I rapped Laker ball with him for like 15 minutes him , his chick my brother and I in the lobby..Coleman was gettin his swerve on tryin to get somechicks number as he was gettin in a limo, and Jerry Stackhouse was a complete DICK,,,,he looked pissed off and didn't talk to anyone, He might of been pissed that DC left him hangin at the hotel i don't know but thats my story......

Conclusion:

Sedale Threat=Cool
Derrick Coleman=Cool
Jerry Stackhouse=DICK!

It's done great things in the NFL and for people to be anyway thinking the Raiders are just a laughing stock of the league, it hurts me. It really hurts me to the core. I really wish there was something I could do on a day-to-day basis to help that situation out." -Tim Brown

I don't have a personal story, but Emmitt really does seem like a dick. On a Thanksgiving game one year, the Fox announcing crew gave him a game award. It was a little goofy and given half as a joke, but still in good spirit. Emmitt just walked away and threw it in the trash even as cameras were watching.

a little off, but anyway my first time opening for a national act I was hosed by their drummer when I asked for his autograph, I mean my band brought out half the crowd that was there, we shouted their names out and got everyone rowdy and when I asked for the auto he scoffed at me and sicked his tour manager on me to chase me away. Of course they though they were so hot but just so tjhey know, anyone ever hear of kreator?

I had the pleasure of attending Jim Otto's golf tourney the past few years (get well Jim!) and EVERY person there was very kind and accomodating. Especially Jim Otto, Lincoln Kennedy, Steve Wisniewski, Kenny King and Mike Haynes. They spent the most time with us. They were waaayyyy cool to the kids. I do have to say though that Freddy Belitnikoff always seemed pissed. It might have been his golf game ;)

Twin84AirRaid is wondering if we could get away with kidnapping the Titans and putting Raider jerseys on them?

For a guy that had "keep Jesus Christ #1 in my life" written on his list of goals, he really seems like a person lacking in character.

Tommy Maddox pushed a 10 year old out of his way when the kid asked for an autograph and as much as I hate Elway, he gave the kid an autograph and picked him up and talked to the kid. This was at a charity golf match in Pittsburgh 2 years ago.

When I was a kid, Frank Robinson was my all-time favorite player. I saw him in a restaurant in Baltimore when I was about 16 years old and thought I would ask him for an autograph.

I walked up to his table and said; "I hate to bother you Mr. Robinson but could I please get your autograph"

He turned around and looked back at me and said "Then don't" and returned to eating.
