How do we get back

It has been 20 miserable years, and this year seems to be more of the same; just moves to get attention but nothing to put together a championship caliber team again. I dont get it

I really wish there was something I could do on a day-to-day basis to help that situation out." -Tim Brown

20 miserable years? I know a lot of fans are all about the Big Dance, but there has been a hell of a lot of entertaining football the last two decades. Bo Jackson was the Micheal Jordan of football before his early exit, Tim Brown became the 2nd best receiver with no QB's worth a crap, there was Art Shell the first black head coach, there was Gannon's rise to fame from being a career backup. Plenty of other history I could mention. Amazing plays like just last year, Curry's acrobatic in the snow catches, Phillip Buchanon's 7 tds in his first two seasons in the league. A LOT of good football has occurred all in a flash of Silver and Black. If you can't be entertained by even the little glory that happens with every play in a football game, how can you call yourself a fan?

IIINapoIII that's a bit harsh bro. Just because someone is uninformed, or doesn't understand the moves we have made this off-season doesn't make them the dumbest MF alive.

Micko11, this off-season we've gone from 100-1 to make the superbowl to 25-1 with the simple additions of Moss and Jordan. Our D is going to be addressed in the draft and with what is left of Free Agency, we will win the AFC West this year and probably go well into the playoffs, a SuperBowl Appearance isn't out of the question.

Al will fix the D and then we'll be close to unstoppable.

Hey we won 3 str8 AFC West crowns....made two AFC C.games and made 1 Super Bowl w/ Gannon at the helm etc...

But, no RIngs! And thats what we look for!

Solid run, made it in to the dance after 19 years...

I recall sseing many teams of our that have had talent and/or the ability and fall flat...

The loss to Buff in the AFC CG was hurtful, blowout was just crazy....the SB was a low point...

We are starving for one...no doubt!

I don't see how these moves make us any worse. Even the playoffs this year will be great.

RobTheRaider uninformed you said and I quote "It has been 20 miserable years" so that means he knows what he is talking about before he wrote what he wrote. The thing that got me going was he said "just moves to get attention"

I'm not happy with the last 2 seasons just as everyone else isn't, however, I realize that we need the architect that built the monster to stay with the monster to see its mission through. In short, we need to be patient with the coach that builds the team and allow him to complete his job before we allow him to leave us in the lurch! We need to have patience with Norval and look for progress just as we did with Gruden. This should allow us to build a team and an organization that can withstand salary caps and departures.
