The Bolts
They fizzle after week 8 every year...I can't see that changing.

I think the Chiefs helped themselves by signing Barber. But the Donks and Sandy Eggo will be about the same as last year. Sandy Eggo, no matter how good they seem to be, always goes in the tank the second half of the season. As for the Donks, Gardner won't be the impact player they were hoping for and Plummer won't be any better then a drunken Griese.

I believe it will be. the Chiefs, although overpaying like mother ****ers, are at least better. Same with the Chargers. That doesn't mean they scare me or they're Superbowl contenders, just better. The donkeys on the otherhand are going backwards.

AFC Forecast
I still think the Raiders are the class of the Division but the margin is shrinking. We also get a break in the schedule this year.
KC will be the toughest challenger. They had a lot of injuries last year and I assuming they will heal (Holmes especially). They also have some youth on the DL and if they can pick up a top CB in the draft or a Douglas at DE, their D will be much improved. SD now has the ingredients for a top O. I expect them to pick up a OL in the draft as well. But their D will not be good enough. Denver's D appears to be weaker and they will have big ?'s at QB and TE if Sharpe retires. |
