All it says to me is.. perhaps Al Davis is going to allow the coaches to do tis sort of thing. The Raiders have "never" assigned a particular CB that type of assignment. Not Hayes or even Haynes... and I imagine we can ALL agree they were pretty good. it was always Al Davis's belief that it did not matter which CB covered the opponents receiver that corner would prevail. what you misunderstand is that was not within Aso's control. he did what he was told. you have this framed completely wrong.
You realize it's part of the Al Davis scheme right?
He covered Marshall for the majority of the 2nd game anyway, switching sides.

Watch some Raiders games before you talk kid. For the last 6 games of the season he was manning up on the receivers.
Looks like Bailey trails the number 1 receiver only 1% more of the time than NnamdiFrom the Football Outsiders 2010 Almanac:
CB1 on WR1
NYJ - 68%
CHI - 64%
HOU - 61%
PIT - 61%
NYG - 61%
SF - 60%
BAL - 59%
IND - 58%
NO - 53%
DEN - 51%
STL - 51%
DAL - 50%
MIN - 50%
OAK - 50%
Finally, now he can do what he did to Brandon Marshall every game to everyone.
If that is the case, then he has been given that assignment. and that truth does not hurt, but makes me very happy. because I have complained about it for years. dating WAYYY back. so thanks for bringing this info den4life. you have just made my day, and given me hope that perhaps AL Davis has seen the light. and if that is true??? then the Raiders may have a surprisingly good season. XD
Relax everyone in an attempt to troll den4life has unintentionally brought us good news. our best cornerback is going to take away our opponents best receiving threat. that is great news. XDDD
