I think Favre is already starting to question his decision to come out of retirement now that he sees all the workouts ahead, it's easy to forget about those in the off-season. He'll do his best but if he doesn't find something to seriously motivate him, it will be a long year and he will be counting the days til it is over. He painted himself in a corner IMO.
My guess is that he will be inconsistent this year and will fade somewhat towards the end of the season, but he will find the energy to have a few big games. I bet he goes nuts against NE and Brady, which would endear him to Jets fans for the rest of his life even in a loss.
He missed his chance to ride off into the sunset though, he really should have taken it.
