I'm totally going to have to agree with rckabillyRaider on this one. "Preseason kills my itch for football" You couldnt have said it better my friend. I am so very curious as to how are new starters are gonna perform, to see if they can live up to those prideful jerseys of ours. This is interesting. However, I would love to see the RAIDERS give the WHINERS a good ass kicking. It would just feel good to see it happen unamean? Definately give me something to smile about in the morning!

Or of the "preseason games are exciting, but scare the hell out of me knowing that a rookie who's not even going to make the team just allowed a pass rusher by, who just knocked our qb out for the year, and our season is shot before it even started"?

I mean, it is for bragging rights of the Bay.
to you that don't live in the Bay Area, you wouldn't really know how big the rivalry is between local fans, but it's pretty big, and has been for a while.

Most living here have friends, or work with people that support the other team, so it's almost impossible to be a football fan and not engage in exchanges, whether it's mild or intense.

So how many of you get all up for a preseason game?

Up to where you not just want to kick ass, but expect to kick ass, and if you don't you wake up the next day all moody?
Whaddup Mr. Mike... Been a long offseason!!! Well, we will win and not only win, but spank your team into the ground. Sorry, but we have way too many weapons on our second and third string along with how our first string will play!!! Only thing we are worried about is our run D... If that holds we're good!!!

As many have said, its only preseason, but I prefer to watch the Raiders win regardless. Being that its only the first game of the preseason, we will be seeing more scrub time than anything. If this were the third game of the season, where the starters play a good portion of the game, it would be much interesting, and maybe a bit of bay area bragging rights. Im just happy to have the Raiders back in uniform to make my weekends complete. Im hoping that there aren't any injuries on either side of the ball.

1. Leave the game win or lose without an injury
2. Observe cohesiveness with the O-Line
3. J-Russ doesnt toss a pick and gets one long bomb completed (td or not)
4. JWalk catches a TD as a confidence booster
5. MBush punishes at least one LB for the niners

To many it does. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those who make a big deal of it. Last year at this time, when the Niners beat the Raiders, or the year before, there is no crowing from me, because doesn't mean a lot.

But some like JT the Brick still has his "Brick Bowl" for fun.

Now what REALLY counts is regular season wins. Now THAT defines who actually owns the bay..up until the next regular season game is played.

Now, who was that Crimsom and Gold team that won that day?

Congrats on two out of three..unfortunately the most important goal was lost on both coaches.

You proved what you already knew...which is you have a good running game.

Unfortunately the biggest question the Raiders had..which is also the same question the Niners have is "How is the qb going to do?"

Kiffin blew it, plain and simple.

Against the Niners is where Russell should have gotten a ton of snaps. Game one. Russell needs as many snaps as possible prior to the season starting.

Usually teams gear up for game 3, resting most starters in game 4.

Because of the little amount of play given Russell, now you're in an even more precarious position in that he has to take at least a half of play against a much better Tital defense. Considering your weak link, Harris, is apparently out for this week with a shoulder injury, it means Russell is even more at risk getting those oh so necessary snaps.

Be thankful for one thing.

You don't Nolan as your coach.
He's fast approcaching the 'I make Joe Bugel look bright" stage.
He makes personal decisions, which makes a HC detrimental to the team.

Yorks should have fired his sorryass last year.

HEY?????
Nolan gets fired at the end of the year..
Raiders fire Kiffin at end of year.
Raiders love hiring former Niners.......hmmmmmm.....makes one wonder, doesn't it? lol...

Kiffin's job security is something no one can defend plain and simple

Russell had 5 attempts against SF and a half against the titans and played efficiently which was good too see

is the QB race in SF an clearer? i mean they all looked dreadful with a 49er friend of mine saying that "smith looked the best out of the Sh#tbags"

the pass blocking was also a pleasant surprise because i thought we would be dreadful
