Swinging wildly now, are we?
We were IN the Superbowl 6 years ago, 5 if you're going by years of the calendar and not the NFL. Still waiting for the Chargers' 2nd so that most of your bandwagon fanbase can say something other than that they were in finger painting in pre-school the last time the Chargers were playing in the superbowl.
And that link, really. Compare that to the Raiders link and you lose. Losing record as a franchise in 48 years of existence. Losing playoff record that is nearly 1/3 of our playoff victories. See where I'm getting at, loser? No, you think that 4 years of being also rans counts as being winners. We only did it for a brief three year period and had a greater run. Oh wait, are you about to spit out 48-21 on us?
Damn, the only time San Diego sees a West superbowl is when Denver and Oakland are playing it in. Pathetic. Got any more links to compare?
I would throw out more comparisons on this thread but it's been said over and over. You can post all you want about the last five years with the Bengals... oh, that Bengals team that have seen more Superbowl appearances... or five consecutive last place seasons or double digit losing seasons. It would mean something if San Diego did more than just a mere Championship Game appearance (not win) and winning seasons that only bring you closer to a .500 record as a franchise, something they haven't seen our first superbowl championship. First.
