Afc West Predictions?
1. Chargers 14-2
2. Broncos 8-8 3. Raiders 7-9 4. Chiefs 6-10 I see the Raiders pushing the broncos for second while still getting rolled by the chargers and splitting a game with the chiefs. |

How am I pushing it? the chargers had a bad start at 1-3 last year adjusting to new coaching all over to finish up 12-3 including playoffs. The year before the chargers were 14-2 in the regular season. With another strong team being fielded this year and the 2nd year with the staff in place along with the 2nd easiest schedule in the entire NFL. The chargers should have no problem going 14-2 especially knowing that home field is on the line. |

I don't see how anyone can make a prediction at this point in time. Gotta see how the draft picks develop...Signing of any non drafted players....Pick ups from June 1st cuts? I think the Chiefs over and under is 6 games. They have a weak schedule relatively speaking so 7 wins isn't totally out of the question. The Chargers have to be odds on favorite to win the division. Doubt its 14 wins though. Denver & Oakland...who can say? I'll let fans of those teams debate the merits of where they will fall.

No disrespect meant but I was here last year and saw all the posts on how the Raiders were going to compete for a wild card. Win anywhere from 8-10 games. I got blasted for saying Oakland would be at the bottom of the division. I just don't think the Raiders have done enough to improve their line play. Games are won & lost in the trenches. Ironically, the one strength you did have last year was you could run the ball. You got McFadden...but you really didn't NEED him. Now you have a whole stable of RB's. Not sure why you guys didn't pick Dorsey. But 9 games is a real stretch for a team averaging 4 wins the past 5 years. I'm open to reasonable debate as to why I'm wrong. |

On paper, our team is lookin good. I think 6-10 or 7-9 and 3rd place, slightly behind the Donkeys and Chiefs are just awful probably at 3-13. However, there is NO way the chargers go 14-12. Your coach is Norvel!!! I say 11-5 and another playoff disappointment.

1. San Diego 10-6
2. Broncos 8-8 3. Chiefs 6-10 4. Raiders 5-11 -San Diego will walk away with the division title again for now. -Cutler will improve more in '08, but Shanahan will continue to anger the Denver faithful. This team really needs a rebuild, but searchcan continues to patchwork things. He really is confusing on the playcalling and GM fronts. -The Chiefs will get the running game back on track, but we will be fielding a lot of rookies and 2nd year players. The overall lack of experienced players will hurt when the team faces critical gametime situations, but that's the fun of rebuilding. -I'm honestly not sold on the all-star RB+DB groups. The game is played in the trenches and giving Tommy Kelly a 50 million deal and trying to revive a turd out of Kwame Harris isn't going to cut it. For every step forward Kiffin takes this team, it seems Al Davis takes 3 steps back. |

Chargers- 11 5
Broncos - 9 7 Chiefs - 7 9 Raiders - 6 10 - Chargers will win div, probally early out of playoffs. - Broncos few more banaids applied, cutler should better, solid overall play however nothing pushing them past the chargers - Chiefs sporting alot of rookies in a rebuilding year, still having qb woes, however a very solid draft and quality pickups should make a impact immediatly. - Raiders I dont aggree with how your draft went at all, i think lines should of been addressed. (as a chiefs fan iam glad you picked mcfadden personally) OL is still patchwork, Russel may have a cannon but needs time to load it, same for McFadden. Still a improved team this year then last year. Raiders and chiefs which one is last...flip a coin i guess. I based it on last few years divisional records, its good the raiders finally broke the losing streak but still history is not on their side. IMO |
