The AFC west is funny because Raiders/broncos and Raiders/chiefs are big rivalries and the chargers are just kind of there. Their is no hate or added tension between the chargers, broncos, or chiefs. It's almost like they had to stir it up with us because there was no other choice.

Honestly everyone in the AFC west right now are rivals...thats why they moved the Seahawks cause they just didnt fit...I know the Chiefs and Broncos are old time rivals but to me the Chargers are as of late the team to beat...So i get a little extra motivated when we play the Chargers...Also i go to SD every year and its kind of getting old watching the Raiders lose in SD...But not this year Charger fans! Mark my words Raiders will win in SD on Dec. 4th and i will be there to witness it!

Charger fans were taught to hate the Raiders like American children are taught to dislike the Middle East.

I have many charger friends over here. While all of them talk all the smack to me about how the chargers are going to stomp on us, they always say that they are afraid of playing the raiders. In about 75% of the games we have played against them for the past 5 years, we almost came up winners. I know that we have stunk it up for the past 5 years, but the thought of losing to a Raiders team that is horrible makes it even more embarrassing for them. This is the reason why the charger fans are always scared when facing a mediocre AFC west team like the Raiders.
There's always one play that decides the ball game, and that play never seems to bounce our way.
As for the chargers, I just don't see them winning any super bowls in the future. They will probably win the division again, but that's it.

Yes, the Chargers are the team to beat right now, but they are NOT our rivals. The Raiders and the Chiefs are still the biggest rivalry in the division, and one of the biggest in the NFL... and a case could be made for the Broncos... but not by me.
The Chargers need to be good for a whole lot longer than 3 years, and beat us 50% of the time for about 30 more years to be a rivalry.
Untill lately, we have owned them so bad, it isn't even a relevant discussion.

Does that make football Sundays easier for you to watch. Knowing that even though you are watching your mismanaged (ala Al Davis) team lose every Sunday at least you can remember the good 'ol days?
I would be pissed if I were you. Raiders fans are among the most loyal fan bases year after year and the cryptkeeper still ****s on you guys. For god's sake, even I feel bad joking on you guys at this point but without me here to stir up the hive what would you guys have to talk about all day? Ohh yeah, 1982.
