Heh ... I brought up Andre Tippett to one of their punk fans last year, they didnt even know who he was. I mean, thats the 80/early 90s , and their most glorious player. So either the online fans are kiddies or , as you say , completely fairweather. Im inclined to think of them as either/or.

Boston fans have been nothing but bandwagon when it comes to the Celtics and Patriots, but one thing they have is they filled Fenway Park to the brim through 86 years of mediocrity and disappointment. There is something to be said for that. SD has no true sports fanbase like that. Their fans do not give a **** unless the team is good. You should have seen Jack Murphy, or even check out PETCO Park (LOL), when the Dodgers are in town. Unless the Padres are really good, it's mostly Dodgers fans.
