You are right, I think the Chargers need to take it to that next level and draft to win at the Championship level. But I think the Raiders need to draft to win at regular season level, not just preseason games.

I just don't see it happening. I don't think little teapot(LT) will be the same after his injury, but in all honesty, rivers is the one that got you guys to the playoffs. Norv emphasizes more on the quarterback than the running game. Chargers defense for some odd reason are not as good as every one makes it out to be. Teams have ran all over them last season, and chargers take pride in stuffing the run. Even the Raiders ran over 100 yards through that defense.

I don't see the chargers making it to the big dance.

Really its between the Chargers colts Patriots and that one other team that will enter the picture in the AFC. It all comes down to who is playing their best ball at the end of the season. The pats really weren't playing there best ball in the playoffs and the giants showed that more than a completely injured chargers team did. Keep in mind we were breaking in 2 new middle linebackers and got much better as the year progressed in run defense. We led the league in int's as well as being one of the top pass rushing teams. And don't give me this crap about Rivers put us in the playoffs. First its oh your just winning because of L.T. should be called the san diego ladainian tomlinson's. Now Rivers is the only reason? fact is we're good all around and have a great shot at a title this year. LT didn't require surgery and is just about back to 100 pct already.
