With all the money Al Davis has spent this off-season, and now particularly with the contract for DeAngelo Hall, there is increased speculation the Raiders will release LaMont Jordan.

If Jordan is released, don't be shocked if he signs with the Chargers, who are looking for a backup to LT after losing Michael Turner. There are rumors the Bolts are targeting the running back of an AFC rival to replace Turner, and the talk is it's Jordan.

Jordan hasn't been able to hold up as a season-long starter. But when healthy and fresh, he can has shown flashes of being a very good running back. If he's willing to accept a role as a part-time player behind LT, he could fill Turner's shoes nicely.

I'm sure Jordan will be willing to play the role of back-up. He probably knows no one is going to let him be their number one. And he is the guy Norv wanted when he coached here. As a Raider fan I want him out of this division. He proved in New York to be a very solid back-up rb.

Jordan is a pretty good RB when healthy....but that is pretty rare. I really don't know if he can ever be healthy because of the back problems...it will continue to bother him throughout his career. He could be a good back up if used wisely though.
