It's to be expected though, since every year the smear campaigns on this site happen when the Draft comes up. Rather than saying "This guy will be a better fit for us" or "This guy is great but he's not what we need" it boils down to "This guy sucks" or "This guy is a beast." That's why it's hard for me to take a lot of these opinions seriously.
Personally, I would be happy with really any of the top picks like DMC, one of the Longs, Dorsey or Gholston. ALL of them will instantly make us better. If you like one of them better than the other, cool. But don't try to convince anyone here that a guy sucks when he is so obviously one of the best prospects at his position for a long time, and will almost assuredly succeed in the NFL.

As I do yours

but aren't assumptions and opinions what are driving the McFadden is greatest RB in a long time crowd as well? Or is it the youtube videos of his untouched long runs? Because I have quite a few Arkansas games that I have reviewed in the last few months and I see a good college RB, not an astonishing back that many are claiming. If that is being "uniformed" I'll take it. That is my stance on him and will stick by it since I've done my own research. Not sure many, if any of those on McFadden's jock really are seeing the whole picture. They are just following what internet mocks, NFLN, ESPN and what youtube is telling them. I'm really starting to wonder if they have ever seen more than a handful of his games. If they have you can easily see he has holes in his game.
Maybe I need to go back and read what I said, did I say he sucks or will suck? I thought I called him a nice RB that will have problems at the pro level. For me, he's more of a luxury pick and especially for the Raiders, isn't a need by any means. What's the point in bringing in a nice complimentary back when we already have 2 proven RB's and a young back who has big upside? For me, it would just be a bad choice if either of the Long's, Dorsey, Ellis or Goulston are there. I wouldn't be pissed or freak out if we did select him, I would hope for the best but expect nothing more than a homerun threat that loves to cough up the ball. Not an every down back that is gonna get you the tough yards needed.
I hear ya on the "smear" campaigns. I think it starts from a few over the top opinions from either side and it just snowballs from there to disprove ones opposed opinion.
Not trying to change anyone's opinion.....just stating what I believe is the truth about his future.
